Only giving one star because I like the tacos, my girlfriend found a black hair in the Mexican corn. Customer service is weird, I’ve been there three separate times first time was cool 5 stars. The 2nd time the girl at the window just stared at me for an uncomfortable amount of time until I said “hello” she didn’t respond until I just started ordering. This last time I came to get some tacos and was the only person at their food truck. The lady running the window actually acknowledged my being there. She was soft spoken so I couldn’t quite hear what she was saying, I ordered food to-go and bought two large entrées she handed me both plates after I specifically asked for to-go boxes. Asked again for two more boxes and she tried to hand it to me with both my hands full. Didn’t offer to help or put it in a box for me, had to go set it on the table to box up my own food. I don’t know why I tipped, food trucks don’t have any service associated to require a tip. On top of the service just not being good. I think to fix it just be loud and clear, acknowledge your customers and say something don’t just stare, wear hairnets because that’s just gross. I’d be willing to change my review if they change their customer service.

Bought a quesadilla here, which my son liked. However, the parking situation is ridiculous. The adjacent lot is signed in such a way that people regularly park and get booted while they’re eating lunch. There are spots marked MPE only and others that are unmarked. If you don’t know what MPE, you don’t know that you’re allowed to park there when you’re dining here and you assume you should park in an unmarked space. Superior Towing knows this happens regularly at lunch time and comes to boot the car while you order. Then they just leave a note saying to call a number which says pay or call the police. You call the police and they give you the number for a human at the tow company. The tow company puts you on hold forever and then tells you to call the police if you don’t want to pay. Then the police come and say you have to pay because in Gainesville private property signage doesn’t have to indicate these sorts of rules, the owners can have a tow company boot your vehicle and demand payment to release the vehicle.

Customer service was really weird the past few times I have gone. My boyfriend went to order one time and the girl just stared at him even after he said hello which made him extremely uncomfortable. The next time he asked for his 2 entrees to go and was handed 2 plates and then proceeded to ask for his food to go like he asked and was handed boxes on top of his plates so he had to go out them down to grab it. I asked for to go corn in a separate order and she never called it so if I did not walk up to help my boyfriend I wouldn’t have known it was there. The first time we went there was great service and food so I am unsure of what happened.

This is ridiculous, I have never seen hot dog tacos for such an expensive price. They should try a little and improve their products and offer more than a tortilla with a hot dog and cilantro for $14 dollars, it's a mockery of Mexican food!
I've never eaten their food before until yesterday, when they parked their food truck outside my hospital. I was going to get the quesadillas, but my coworkers told me to try the Birria tacos. All I have to say is...Oh my god!!! Best...best...BEST Mexican food I've had in a long time, and I eat a lot of it!

Amazing! The food is authentic and creative. Santos had a smile that would make mí abuelita blush. I’ve spent too many house of my life looking for a persistent birria source I’m Gainesville, and here it is. The homemade tortilla chips are crispy and elegant but also hearty and thicccccc. I had no idea this little truck existed and now here I am writing a 10/10 review.

This past weekend I visited Mexi Cocina for the first time, a food truck located at Midpoint Park & Eatery. The park provides the perfect location for a sunny afternoon lunch, and is accompanied by ample seating and food options. The employees at Mexi Cocina were bubbly and helpful, and the service was exceptionally quick. The area surrounding the location was tidy and clean, and allowed customers to dine in the shade or the sun. I ordered the birria tacos, which were well seasoned and accompanied with a tasty jalapeño sauce. This delicious meal and fun environment make for the perfect lunch spot on a Saturday afternoon!
