The food was delicious but our server had a couple of hiccups with our order. Everything worked out fine but it wasn't the level of service we usually enjoy.
Good food atmosphere could use some work but more of a cafeteria style vibe. counter service at lunch. Bowl of fries is massive

Everything was top notch! Food was all amazing, service was very attentive and thorough & ambiance was nice! We recently were in Napa and this restaurant reminded us of our restaurant experiences there! Gainesville has a winner here!
We are regulars at Mildred's and will be going back soon. We dine there at least three times a month.
We are regulars at Mildred's. This time, it was for an anniversary celebration. As usual, the food was superb, especially my escargot appetizer, my wife's braised lamb and my duck breast. Our server was exceptionally friendly and nice. The kitchen must have been backed up, as it took longer than usual to get even our salads, but we were in no hurry, and, as indicated above, the food was all very much worth a bit of a wait. The noise level was a bit more than we remembered from previous visits, making conversation difficult during the first part of the meal. The consistently outstanding food and service make Mildred's at or near the top of our list for dining out in Gainesville. If there is anything to improve upon here it would be the decor which is showing its age a bit. Avery minor downside to a really good restaurant.
Hannah was great! We enjoyed the triple tail fish for dinner and the dessert is out of this world.
Mildred's Big City Food was absolutely delicious! Everything we tried was outstanding and stood out as unique compared to other restaurants in Gainesville. The only critique I have is with the octopus appetizer, it felt a bit skimpy for the portion size. I was expecting at least part of a tentacle rather than thin slivers. While it was tasty, I personally wouldn't classify it as a true appetizer.
Food was good but they tack on 12.5% which I assume is for a tip. Tipping is good when you have good service, which I did. It should be my option to tip as much as I want. I felt obligated to add more the bill where you put a tip and as a customer, it’s unwanted.

Everything was good except for the service charge that they add to your bill and It seems to be 12.5%. I don't know if it is added as an automatic tip and I guess I should have asked. I left a tip as well, but I will not be returning. 12.5% is excessive and by handing the customer a bill with a tip option makes one feel pressured to add more money.

I can’t wait to go back and try another entree. Great food, good service and excellent location. They were slammed on a Saturday evening, but they were still able to squeeze in our party of 4, within 15 minutes.
Everything on the menu sounded awesome, it was difficult to choose. The scallops were excellent, and the snapper was too. I’m going back to try the lamb next.

Mildred's is the best restaurant in Gainesville. Chef Cameron is always looking for creative ways to use local and fresh ingredients to put together excellent dishes. Last night we enjoyed octopus carpaccio which is new to the menu and the always amazing scallops with a fresh new set up. Service is always on point and they make you feel special even on a random Friday evening. Bert Gill continues to exceed expectations both here and at Blue Gill!
Delicious!
Always a fantastic time here. Service and atmosphere are excellent. The menu offers new and inventive dishes that always deliver. Wine list and cocktails are great. Highly recommend. One of my favorite places to dine.
We enjoyed our dinner at Mildred’s last night. It was our first time visiting and we were there to celebrate my birthday. Mushroom crostini that we started off with was delicious. Both of us went for the preset 3 course meals after that. My husband had a corn soup which was really good. I opted for a watermelon three ways salad and was not super impressed by it. It sounded unique when I saw it on the menu, but I wouldn’t choose it again. For our entrees my husband had rabbit loin which was delicious. Pairing with cavatelli pasta was perhaps not the best, but rabbit itself in pesto was tender and moist. I went for the lamb. While it was very tender and soft, it had very little flavor and seasoning. Fried crispy cauliflower was probably the best part of my plate. The desserts that they offer were really tasty as well, although I don’t think they were made in house.
Overall, good experience, but not quite up to a 5 star visit.
