Very good food and service. Nice sit-down atmosphere. Went on Tuesday when it would be typically uncrowded which made the meal all the more enjoyable.
BBQ was great. Several sauces to choose from. Service was excellent. Huge drink selection reasonably priced. Good overall value.
My husband enjoyed the ribs and brisket. I loved the brisket salad topped with Mojo BBQ sauce.
Post UF Gators making it to Final 4, we had a 930pm.reservation. Food was spectacular and place was relatively quiet since after the game, most people left. Great work by the staff as all was clean and like they just opened!
Had a ribs and brisket combo. The ribs melted in you mouth and the brisket was tender and juicy. It was really nive having brisket thst wasn't over-cooked. The atmosphere was what you would expect at a college hangout, but eas not overly loud and could easily carry on a conversion. Would highly recommend.
You get a lot of food - enough to share. Food was tasty...cheese grits were so good, creamy. I don't care for sauces but the sweet was good w/a little zing
Excellent food and the perfect setting. Great vibe. Staff went above and beyond. Our go to in Gainesville!
Their smoked chicken wings are pretty fire. If you like whiskey at any price then this is your place.

Loved the atmosphere, and the service was very good. The brisket was not all that great. I have had better at Sonny's. I didn't like any of the sauces. I probably would not come back as overall, it was just OK. There are too many places that serve great brisket with killer sauce to go back to a place that was just OK.

Great place for a Southern BBQ experience, a BBQ gem in Gainesville. We ordered fried pickles to get in the mood followed by two pork dishes a North Carolina pork and the Pork Shoulder Pulled Pork. Very good taste and the sauces come on the side so you can get as much or little as you want. Definitely recommended and will come again to try other items on the menu.

Stayed in Gainesville for the night after a campus tour for my son. Decided to eat here with the good reviews. Happy with the choice. I've tried tons of bbq all across the south from big names to the gem holes in the walls of small towns. It is rare to find downtown bbq joints that hit the mark. I have to say the bbq was on point here. I had the bbq rueben. A bbq first and it was very good. Tender and juicy brisket. My wife had her usual pulled pork and it hit the mark too! Bar tender let me sample the tap and mixed some good drinks for the wife. Reasonable pricing and nice atmosphere. A little dark inside but ok for us. Clean bathrooms and a definte must try.

Excellent food. I had the sliced brisket, which was tender and with great flavor. Mac and cheese was perfect. To go sweet tea is always worth another star. The server was always moving and checking on me. Fantastic lunch, and I will definitely be returning.

Small portions. Grits were cold. Tiny sandwiches and very little meat. Dismissive service. Dirty and grimy tabletops. Big disappointment. Talks a talk but doesn't walk the walk. Pity.
