Loved the atmosphere, and the service was very good. The brisket was not all that great. I have had better at Sonny's. I didn't like any of the sauces. I probably would not come back as overall, it was just OK. There are too many places that serve great brisket with killer sauce to go back to a place that was just OK.

Great place for a Southern BBQ experience, a BBQ gem in Gainesville. We ordered fried pickles to get in the mood followed by two pork dishes a North Carolina pork and the Pork Shoulder Pulled Pork. Very good taste and the sauces come on the side so you can get as much or little as you want. Definitely recommended and will come again to try other items on the menu.

Stayed in Gainesville for the night after a campus tour for my son. Decided to eat here with the good reviews. Happy with the choice. I've tried tons of bbq all across the south from big names to the gem holes in the walls of small towns. It is rare to find downtown bbq joints that hit the mark. I have to say the bbq was on point here. I had the bbq rueben. A bbq first and it was very good. Tender and juicy brisket. My wife had her usual pulled pork and it hit the mark too!...
