Very good food; very fair prices; wonderful atmosphere, with background music at the perfect volume—great for conversation at the table.
I really recommend visiting this restaurant.
The food was good. I had Lo Mein. It was very good. At most of the Chinese restaurants that I've eaten at the Lo Meins individual vegetables and meat has no distinct individual flavors, everything tasted of the same flavor. Here I could taste everything. The flavor of the meat, vegetables and noodles were distinct. The noodles were a lovely quality, not soggy or overcooked. That was a big plus.
My husband ordered Szechuan (Sichuan) shrimp which he said was delicious. Mr. Hans also has well appointment decor.
Love this restaurant for classic Chinese . It’s consistently good.

Food was good and decently quick, but they add a 3.5% service fee at the end that they don't tell you about ahead of time.

Lunch time visit, seated right away. Good food & staff helped find gluten free options.

Amazing food but the service was...lackluster. We were greeted by a man who gave the impression that he would rather be anywhere else, then waited for 45 minutes for someone to come take our order. My boyfriend ordered beef udon...30 minutes later, we got beef hunan. When we brought it up, the waitress just sighed and started to take the plate without a word. Not sure how that mistake is made but at that point we had been waiting for so long and were so hungry that we kept it.
When we got the receipt, we noticed it was actually LAMB hunan. How in the world?
The food was awesome. Drinks were... not so much. We won't be back.

I moved to Gainesville in 1989. Mr Han's had been around for a while even then. There was a Service Merchandise right next door...that's how long ago we're talking. This place is an icon. It's off the beaten path, so can be easy to forget about, but I have never had a bad meal or experience here in 35+ years. Dim sum or dinner menu.

MR. HANS is the best that Gainesville has to offer. The portions are large, decent prices, and nice service

This was by far the BEST Chinese food I have ever had, I got Eric’s spicy chicken and the wife got a pork dish and both were amazing. This is definitely the place to hit for good food.

DO THEY WANT BUSINESS?
I was excited to try this place as there are limited Chinese restaurants in Gainesville. I came in and waited for almost 10 minutes with no one to come and seat me. The piano player was trying to assist me since no one was coming. After a server finally came and we told them we reserved seats, they still took another 10 minutes. I left and decided to not give this place a try. There was also a weird smell… looks like I’ll be going back to yummy house.

This off the beaten path hidden spot was a true find. We didn't even get around to trying any of the entrees😭, sadly we are on vacation and won't be able to indulge in a second meal here😭😭. As we were delighted to find two divine appetizers that are hard to nearly impossible to find. The BBQ Spare ribs, on the bone, is the easier appetizer to find. And the Shrimp toast, which I haven't had in going on 40 years. The service was a smidge slow as the hostess was also the waitress, but everything came out as ordered and perfect.
