My family and I were on a mission to find some incredible soul food this evening, and let me tell you, our search paid off! We dove into a feast of oxtails, turkey wings, and rib dinners that left us absolutely raving. I mean, the food was nothing short of spectacular! Each bite was bursting with flavor, the service was top-notch, and the staff was so welcoming ! The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. If you’re a fan of delicious food, you’ve got to experience this place! It was a meal we won’t soon forget!

I am deployed in Gainesville for work and wanted some real good home cooked food. And I received REALLLL GOOD HOME COOKED FOOD! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!!! The service is friendly....they have a customer, THANK YOU!

Their portions are HUGE and very reasonably priced. We ordered the oxtail, mac n'cheese and collard greens and it was all yummy. There was quite a crowd of people waiting patiently for their takouts - always a good sign.

The real stars of the show though, are the people running this food truck. I was greeted with big smiles and a friendly face popping out every now and then to tell me that my food was coming soon. It was a lovely warm atmosphere. Will be back to try some more dishes.

I attended a church convention in Hawthorne over the past week and wanted some soul food. I Googled Soul Food restaurants near me and came across Not Your Mammy's. I had the baked turkey wings and cabbage... the food was excellent and well worth the 26 mile drive! Angela and her daughter were very pleasant and even threw in a free desert and lemonade for my travels. I will definitely return on my next visit to the area.

Not your mammy‘s soul, Food truck I recommend it to all of Gainesville Florida. Food is so delicious as well as the customer service the oxtails dinner and the poundcake is my favorite. The fried chicken was so delicious my mom really loved it my husband he went back for seconds!!

1000% recommended! The oxtails sign caught my attention as I rode by. Friendly...outstanding customer service. The plate comes with yellow rice, corn bread, and 2 sides. When I explained my sugars had been up they were very accommodating...got double greens and green beans. I will try to back as often as possible. 😃❤️

Had the oxtails and collard greens and macaroni and cheese. All of it was terrible oxtails were greasy collard greens were greasy. It was all terrible. I’ll never go back there Again. What makes it so bad is I’m new in town…
