Great food!! We went to OAK over the weekend for my daughter's 19th birthday. She is a student at UF and we were in Gainesville visiting her. I found OAK from a recommendation on FB and it did not disappoint! The food, service and atmosphere was amazing! Our server Isabelle was awesome, very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. We had such a great experience here and will definitely return when we are in town!

Loved my experience at OAK! The smashburger was absolutely delicious, and the sweet potato fries were just as good. The DJ played great music. Isabel was an outstanding server—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Will definitely be back!

The worst experience was the self service beer . Good concept but I don’t think it gets used enough making the beer hard to pour and very expensive as your purchase goes by once’s poured and there is tons of foam so either you wait a long time or spill your $ away . 4 rather than 5 stars due to that .

Have not been here in a while but used to be my brunch favorite Stopped in for a drink mid afternoon and despite the bar being not crowded, the service was disappointing. We waited a while to order, and I tired to order three different drinks that were featured on their menu but they were out of several ingredients. I finally settled on a cosmo but not sure the bartenders were trained well. It was mostly cranberry juice and probably the worst I’ve ever had. There was one woman that looked like she knew how to mix drinks , but sadly didn’t get her. I also was surprised they were not asking for ID from what looked like very young patrons. I think I will try them for brunch again , but there are better places to get drinks.

Every time I’ve had food from here it’s been delicious. Where I struggle is finding what and when they are serving. Twice in the past week I’ve been burned by their kitchen closing when entirely separate hours are posted on Facebook, Google, and their website or serving a menu that didn’t match what was expected for the time without any clear description (can serve a burger but can’t serve a BLT during brunch makes zero sense)

Biggest problem was the wait. Considering it was NYE we made a reservation for 7:30. We were not seated until close to 8:00 and left after 9:00.

The atmosphere and food were alright, and it was nice that holiday drinks were half off. The waitress was also very nice.

Overall, pretty decent but defeated the purpose of getting a reservation and kind of dampened the experience.

My friend and I went for happy hour, and when we arrived we asked the bartender about it. The bartender seemed nice, but wasn’t very informative about the happy hour details. It also took about 15 minutes for them to take our drink order. They told us it was $2 off certain drinks, so we ordered based on that.

When we got our checks, the happy hour pricing wasn’t applied, and we only received the discount on one drink after asking. Overall, it wasn’t the greatest service for a first experience, and we may not return.
