Our experience with Hostess Maya significantly affected our impression of OAK. We were initially told there would be a 30-minute wait for our party of 8, but when we returned, Maya claimed she had said an hour and implied that I was mistaken or lying. We also had a baby with us, and Maya suggested we wait another 30 minutes or an hour to be seated, showing no sign of remorse. She was unapologetic and wouldn’t admit that she was wrong, also being very frustrated with us. It felt somewhat like a racial bias issue. It’s upsetting to see that OAK, which otherwise has great food and ambiance, employs a hostess who seems to have a problem with honesty and customer care.

Had my daughter’s birthday brunch here. Party of 9! Seated immediately (we had a res) and the place was very nice and open inside. A bit warm but not bad.

Started with 2 biscuit apps and those biscuits were awesome! Perfectly done in the gravy.

Lunches were mostly smash burgers which were good but pretty standard. Lots of fries which was nice.

country fried steak and breakfast tacos were also good.

We ended with peach crumble and that was not. Had a bourbon taste that was too strong and not mentioned on the menu.

The girls all loved the bottomless mimosas and our server Kaci was excellent. We had a ball!

The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the atmosphere, and even that can't make up for the disastrous experience. The service at the bar is downright awful, with inattentive staff that seem to forget you're even there. As for the food, it's a complete joke—served cold across the board. Whether it's steak or bread pudding, expect it to arrive at your table lukewarm at best. To top it off, they managed to serve broccolini that was practically raw. And don't bother trying to order a filet or ribeye—they're out of stock. This place is an embarrassment.

Our group of 7 went here for a pre birthday Sunday brunch and it was pretty busy, but they did their best to find us a place inside. Everyone was watching the Olympics and the vibes were very fun (the music is club-like for some reason? Haha). Endless mimosas were nice (if a bit pricy). Our server Julia was so sweet and checked up on us a bunch :) She really made my day!

PS: Beware outdoor diners with curvy figures, the seats on the patio are very small and uncomfy (tables are also tiny but ok for just having a drink!) - they reseated us as requested :)

Literally the worst restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life. Go to The Top! It’s SO much better!

We got lucky to drop in during happy hour on a Tuesday where it was not busy. Nicole was our server and she was great. The food was phenomenal. Started with the wings breaded as an app, they were great. Entrées: I got the short rib which was nothing short of perfect. I only needed a knife as it helped me pull apart the perfectly cooked tender cut of meat. The demiglace was so good I could drink it with a straw, everything about this dish was fantastic from presentation to the heirloom carrots. My fiance got the chicken sandwich and it would put any chain restaurants out of business that think they can make a chicken sandwich. Thank you yo this staff, it's great to have good food. This will always be a spot for us to drop in and recommend. Oh and the pecan pie was the best final.touch ? kudos to the O.A.K. team ?

I love the location, but I've been a bit underwhelmed the few times I've been. I've gone different times of day and the staff is always wonderful, but service and wait times are usually pretty slow. The bathrooms are clean but oh my do they smell bad like a sewage pipe is leaking. I've never been able to finish a meal due to it upsetting my stomach for some reason (doesn't happen elsewhere), I'm not sure what the kitchen is like, but the menu selections are nice and maybe it's just me. Primarily, I've always had to wait more than 20 minutes to get my check after requesting it which can be a bit of a bummer when you are ready to leave, but overall it's worth a visit if you're going downtown.

Honestly, I was incredibly skeptical after reading so many mixed reviews...
However, I'm so glad we decided to give this place a try!!
The service was fantastic!!
The atmosphere was superb. The only thing is ..there is a faint bad smell.. when you walk in...
However, DO NOT let this fool you. The food was absolutely top notch.
We ordered an array of different things!!
Pretzel with artichoke dip was so good a great balance of cheese and salt.. the Pretzel was so good you could eat it alone!
The jalapeño poppers were so crispy and fresh with wonderful flavor and just the right amount of spiciness!!!

The fried tomato sliders OMG these are a must try, my only complaint would be I wanted more tomato and less bread but even the buns were so buttery and flavorful you won't stop talking about these..TRY THEM!

The filet mignon dinner was cooked divinely!!!! Melted in your mouth with the best flavors cooked, perfect potatoes tasted fantastic, truly no complaints!!
Everything we tried was phenomenal!!

For dessert, I would recommend their pecan pie...my goodness, it's perfect!!..

We had such a great time, with such amazing food and a very kind server!!

We will most definitely be returning to this one..do yourself a favor and CHECK THEM OUT!!!
