What a lively and fun place! We now call it our home away from home. The servers are engaging, attentive, and accommodate food allergies. Colin, the manager, runs a great show! He's dedicated and very welcoming. Treats his staff with such respect! Emma and Jonathan were super servers - we had happy hour on Saturday at OAK and a delightful Sunday brunch! The table next to us was enjoying a few MegaMules! Looked yummy and fun. Bring your group in for a good time - you won't be disappointed!! Thanks, Colin, for the memories once again! Can't wait to return.

Let me tell you, Original American Kitchen (OAK) is the real deal! We took the family for dinner the other weekend, right in the middle of the massive Florida vs. Texas game crowds, and it was a straight up 10/10 experience.

The atmosphere was A+ and exactly what you want for a big weekend dinner. The entire staff was super friendly, but the place was absolutely packed! Despite the huge rush, GM Colin was very accommodating and made sure our family was taken care of. That level of service when they’re slammed is a great sign.

The drinks were excellent, too. The cocktails were delicious, but seriously, they even had fantastic mocktail options that the kids absolutely loved.

For the mains, I got the Sweet Tea Short Rib with the delicious demiglaze. You have to try it! My wife went for the classic Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, but our server, Natalia, had an awesome suggestion: add chicken and bacon. My wife kept saying it was great! Natalia had some serious menu knowledge and seemed like a seasoned server who knows her stuff.

Overall, everything hit the mark for a full, memorable dining experience. If you're in Gainesville, this is definitely a spot I'd go back to every time. Well done, OAK!
