I’m from Texas and it was truly hard to find a Mexican restaurant that was just as good as back home… Peppers is by far the best in Gainesville,Florida.. I recommend it 10/10..🇲🇽🌮🌯

The server was very rude!!!! We felt very rushed .... He maybe should have had a smaller section ~ cause he was struggling!!! Made it very unpleasant!!!

The food is always good but each time we have visited the restaurant the service is simply bad. Yesterday our waiter attempted to take our order immediately after we sat down. We wanted to try something new so weren’t ready. He never came back. This kind of service has happened to us so often that we’ve decided never to go back. After we had to go find someone to take our order and we had eaten, he FINALLY came back to check on us. I don’t reward poor service with a good tip which I always hope will make them realize that they are getting paid for their effort. Disappearing and letting others do their job doesn’t deserve a reward. The people that stepped up after having to find someone who would take our orders should be rewarded. After he brought the check, I was putting the cash down as he rushed over to scoop it up off the table! No time to serve us but definitely there to get paid! If you’re looking for a pleasant meal out and don’t want to have to work for it AND enjoy wonderful service, I suggest Blue Agave! Their chimichangas are three times the size of Peppers and you get treated like they are happy to see you!! We are done with this place.

Alittle pricey but service and quality of food was worth it their hotsauce is definitely worth trying

Parking: 1 way in and out so go out the way you came in or could be difficult to get out

Do not order the Burrito Bowl. Hubby and I did, he ordered steak and I ordered veggie. It was almost like soup. Very very soppy. We couldn’t eat it. Waiter was so so.

Ordered take out during Hurricane Debby, I got chips and salsa, a kids cheese only quesadilla, side of queso, and chicken nachos. I ordered my nachos with just shredded chicken and cheese. My order was ready very quickly in 10 mins. When I got home the nachos were covered in jalapeños and sour cream. I picked all the jalapeños off (there were so many 20+) and scraped as much sour cream off as I could. The nachos were still very good. I will say the sides of queso and the salsa were such tiny little containers. I paid $34 so I thought they would be a tad larger. All of the food was very good. But because they messed up my order and the tiny sauces I only gave 4 stars. I’m assuming if I would have dinned in I wouldn’t have had those issues. I was very happy this restaurant was open when so many places in the city weren’t. I do have a gluten allergy and the nachos didn’t make me sick, so that’s a definite win! I would absolutely dine here again.
