No one would ever expect that in the middle of downtown Gainesville there would exist a corner store that was a mixture of convenience store, bookstore, hot dog and burrito stand, artisanal soda shop, and craft beer/wine outlet. Quirky doesn’t even begin to do this place justice. I went to check it out when my sister was visiting and I ordered the Chicago dog (with the classic toppings of yellow mustard, pickle, poppy seeds, tomato, sport peppers) and the Buffalo (with buffalo aioli, crumbles of blue cheese, cider coleslaw, and potato sticks). These flavors were so unique! Who would ever put blue cheese on a hot dog?! When it comes to the craft sodas there are at least 20 different types, ranging from root beer to cream soda to sour candy apple. There’s seating inside or your can take your hot dog to go. Pop A Top is so totally unexpected but you can expect that I will be back soon.
The kitchen is impeccably clean. You can choose from some menu items or make your own. There are many sauced and veggies to add. Super tasty and refreshing! Would definitely recommend for a hot sunny day at depot.
Great staff
Delicious sandwiches and the best soft serve in town! Conveniently located by Depot Park and a good spot in case you need snacks, drinks, or games for the park! 12/10!
Rude service. Basically told my girlfriend and I to buy something or get out. The place was completely empty, so we weren’t keeping a table from anyone. Don’t know why they felt the need to interrupt our time together.

Fresh delicious ? fully recommended
It's so convenient when I need to get a quick drink after a jog. The sandwiches are also pretty good.
Love the options here for all kinds of dietary needs. Friendly and quick service. Tons of tasty food either prepackaged or served fresh. Really nice atmosphere, I tend to see families spending time at Depot Park stopping in for a quick bite. Lots to look at while you’re inside. A little cramped but it works out. Highly recommended!
This was my first visit to Pop-a-Top and I want to start off by saying the food was really good! What made me a bit frustrated was the staff’s understanding and communication on allergens.I had originally asked if a specific menu item used red onions since I have an intolerance (and I told the cashier this), and they said it did. So, I ordered another item on the board that didn’t have onions in the descriptor. When the item came out, it had red onions on top. Thankfully, I was able to pick them off but it was frustrating that I communicated my inability to eat something and staff didn’t follow through in warning me or communicating with me that the item I chose had red onion on it.I appreciate all the vegan options here though, and the atmosphere is really cool! It was just the food experience that bummed me out a bit.

Little pricey, but great location at Depot.
Prices are RIDICULOUS for a cookie!!! I can go to Walmart and get a whole roll of cookie dough for the price of one cookie!
Best breakfast burritos!
The quesadilla was delicious!
We here at Dan Kays Auto repair, ( down the Street from Depot Park on SE 4th ) Absolutely love the Unique Culture and the Convenience of a nearby Lunch Spot. We've been lacking on Variety and Convenience in this section of town for sometime now. Definitely worth your time to stop in and try some of the Various food and drinks.
