Samurai Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

Didn't get very good pictures. We started enjoying our delicious food and company before I got the pictures. We started with the Spicy Tuna Roll, and then we had the dinner for 2. It consists of Filet Mignon, Shrimp, Lobster,and Scallops. You also get fried rice, noodles, vegetables, soup, and salad. Our friends had the same dinner, and since it was one of their birthday, they got a free cheesecake. They food was delicious, the steak just melted in your mouth, and the seafood was fabulous. Our chef was great and even sang to our friend, and our waitress was very attentive.

Two of the rolls we ordered didn’t have spicy Mayo on their description . One did and I noted it on the note to not include . They didn’t give me the eel sauce . They drenched my sushi in spicy Mayo . I also paid for teriyaki sauce and said no yum yum sauce and I got five yum yum sauces .
Never in my life have I seen such incompetences .

We got there a little early before. They opened up at 4:30. There were already people waiting on Hibachi tables. We were going to just sit at regular dining for our first visit here.
I have driven past this place. Daily and tried it out . But, after seeing crowds of people coming and going, we just had to try it, and it did not disappoint!!
Our waitress Alexis was very bubbly,friendly, and took great care of us.
I don't know why we didn't eat here sooner.
The appetizers are reasonably priced and very tasty everything came out hot. The sauce that came with the spring rolls. You gotta try it!!
Our main courses came out hot and was very delicious. We definitely will be returning.
Sitting in the regular dining area, you can hear the sounds of the hibachi being cooked and all the crowds interacting with their chef.

OK so no photos... why? BEACUSE I WAS TOO BUSY enjoying my food and the chef! The price is great and the food is wonderful. Go ahead and go here, you'll love it.

My husband and I go here everytime we go to Gainesville. Sometimes we think of excuses to go to Gainesville just to eat here. We live about an hour away. Had the edamame as an appetizer. Generous portion and very good. We got the steak, chicken and shrimp hibachi in the dining room. Cooked perfectly and so delicious. Their salad dressing is so good and so is their yum yum sauce. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

We celebrated my son today, for graduating middle school and heading to the high school. The place was packed, but we were seated very quickly, and the manager allowed me to set up a lil decor display, congratulating my son’s accomplishments! The service was over the top wonderful, food was amazing (we brought a lot home) and we’ll be back! Thank you guys for the wonderful service and for giving our small party of 4.5 such a wonderful experience! ❤️🫶🏼

We eat here multiple times a month. We usually order Togo. They always take such good care of us! Definitely stop in for some Hibachi if you’re around the area!!

Parking: It’s in the Publix shopping plaza so plenty of places to park

As a regular I just want to start off by giving a shout out to the Sushi chef who never disappoints! The servers are always so kind, but their two newest servers provide an experience you'd expect from a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. The buss boys are kind, keep things clean, and get unwanted dishes out of the way with perfect timing. Another special shout out, to a service unseen in 90% of Hibachi restaurants, I've gotta give to the grill cleaner who leaves the stainless steel looking brand new. Giving those with shell fish/other allergies (like myself) reassurance a reactions won't ruin our night out. Be careful ordering from the back if you have allergies, instead just ask the Hibachi chef to cook the shell fish last, and a seat away from the smoke coming off the grill. Last but not least, the owner, who keep his crew on their A game, and moving like a well oiled machine.My only complaints would be the bathrooms that must have poor plumbing bc the smell of sewage is unbearable some days I've come in. Also on one occasion, while raining heavily, there were signs of water leaking from the ac units and hoods of the grills. If these two things were fixed. Samurai would hands down be among the best Hibachi restaurants in North Central Florida.

Dietary restrictions: Those with allergies to shell fish, glutton, and most food related allergens are always catered to, a provided with options most places lack.

Went to website and set family plans to eat there today at 1 and there website says opened at 12 but after getting there door shows 4:30 you would think if you’re changing hours of operation it would be correct on there website
