I feel the food has changed. The brisket is 100% trash, whatever you get don't get that. This is after trying to get a decent brisket 5 or 6 times. The sliced pork is hut or miss as well. I feel like they just throw it on the plate, if you get a pile of fat then thats what you get. A little bit of qc and Sonnys would be great again. The rest of the menu is ok and the service seems to always be good throughout the years.

My husband and I traveled here to Gainesville for an appointment and decided to stop by and try the bbq here at Sonny’s BBQ. Our waitress was Amy. She provided excellent A+ Customer Service to us and our photo was delicious, hot, and freshly prepared. Also the presentation of the food was awesome!

Just ate at sonnys ,Lily was a great server. She was so delightful, I’m gonna come back to Sonny’s every week because of her customer service ! I got the ribs , chicken , mac and cheese with fries and a side of wings .Everything was hot and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is fun, the original Sonny’s, so lots of history here. The food is good, average chain BBQ. The real star was our server, Lily, she was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back and will definitely ask to sit in Lily’s section.
