Sonny's is a happy place, a comfort food cove of smokey bliss. My favorite thing there is not BBQ though. Well obviously its the sweet tea, but besides that, it's the Steak Burger. It is a pricey burger but it really is the best one at the price point here in town. Also, I wanted to mention the massively upgraded the chicken tenders. I am very impressed.

Some folks love to hate on Sonny’s, but I’ve got nothing but good things to say. Every time I go, the food hits the spot and the service is top-notch. The BBQ is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. For me, it’s the perfect mix of comfort food and great hospitality. Sonny’s is one of those places I’ll always look forward to coming back to.

And they let my dog sit with me on the patio.

Decided to give Sonny's another chance since it used to be one of our favorite lunch places. Still disappointing. Asked for a turkey big deal and they didn't have any turkey. Settled for sliced pork which was just ok. One of my friends who also wanted the turkey settled for the brisket which she said was grizzley and fatty. All in all, we were disappointed again. Also, the restaurant was so cold, it was uncomfortable. At least the beans were still good! Don't plan...
