The service and atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She knew the menu well and answered all of our questions. They also have a mini museum inside the restaurant for browsing while you're waiting, or on your way out after your meal, which I thought was a cool idea.
However, most of the food we ordered, was mediocre at best. We started with 2 appetizers, the cheesy rolls and the spinach dip. In my opinion, both were less than desirable. For the main courses, my son had the Wagyu sliders, which were extra well done and had a burnt taste, and my daughter had the Mac and cheese, which she ended up having replaced with the tenders. My husband ordered the chicken marsala with angel hair and he liked his dish. Based on how the appetizers tasted, I decided not to order anything for the main course. For desert, we ordered the chocolate chip cookies and those were good.
To me, this was another restaurant that slaps high prices on their food, but the quality does not match the price.
Again, this is my opinion based on our recent experience.
Delicious filet in a cool and relaxing environment
Wonderful service and delicious food!
This was a wonderful restaurant from the food to the environment. The space honors Spurrier’s legacy while still maintaining a fine dinning experience. Anytime we are in Gainesville we will make it a point to stop by.
We visited to celebrate my son’s birthday. It was a perfect evening! Our server, Mandy, was fantastic!
The short ribs and eggplant dishes were outstanding, but be careful..the portion sizes were plentiful. Definitely 5 star service. Reece & Marie highly recommend.
My server Darius went above and beyond to provide a good experience. The food was great.
We had a little getaway from the kids and enjoyed a nice night out at Spurrier’s! Emily K. Was our server! She was phenomenal and also very knowledgeable with the menu. If you do like your steaks seasoned, I would ask for extra! as they are very very lightly seasoned/plain. The mashed potatoes and calamari were wonderful! All around the atmosphere was wonderful as well! Ask for Emily!
We dined at Spurriers for my son’s 10th birthday a few years ago. He is the lone Florida fan in our family so when we came to a Florida football game we thought dinner at Spurriers would be the best way to end our day of giving him the Florida fan experience. It was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding! My husband and son were able to get game day food and I was able to have a more “upscale” dinner all in the best environment! Two years later here we are passing through on our way to Viera for a baseball tournament and we knew exactly where we wanted to have dinner! I had the same short rib and mushroom risotto that was just as delicious as I remembered and the guys split the ribeye. We can’t recommend the dishes we have had enough but it’s truly the staff and waiters who make this place unforgettable. . The hostess Charity took my son up to see the collection of visors and gave him all sorts of Florida HBC insight! Truly a wonderful place to create great memories!
Wonderful time as usual, but special for our 44th wedding anniversary! Food was exceptional as always and our server, Emily, was FABULOUS! The whole staff was attentive and friendly, but Emily went above and beyond -- bravo!

My fiancé and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Spurrier's this year, and it was everything we could have hoped for. We got engaged that day and had dinner there to mark the occasion. Our server, Tommy, was incredibly attentive and truly amazing. He even spoke with the pastry chef, who added heart-shaped strawberries to our delicious cheesecake to make the night even more special.
Overall, our experience was a perfect 10/10. This wasn’t our first time dining at Spurrier's, and it definitely won’t be our last. From the incredible brunch to the dinner menu and exceptional staff, Spurrier's is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant.
A big thank you to everyone who signed our anniversary card that Tommy brought to our table. We truly appreciate everyone who made our night extra special on 11/29/24. THANK YOU!

The food here was nothing short of amazing! Love the history of Spurrier in the building as well. Me and my wife ate here before a movie and had a great experience.

I can't fathom why we we're served by someone with a cut on their finger.
Maybe it was food or a mark from a marker but regardless it's not a good look and we couldn't risk it, so we promptly left.

Wonderful atmosphere and food! I had the 8oz filet with the truffle mushroom sauce and house fries with Parmesan cheese, the steak cut like butter and the fries were amazing, for dessert I had the crème brûlée and it wasABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! Our waitress Helen is so friendly and made this experience divine! Overall 10/10 experience!!
