Just avoid it if you’re doing take out. We were one of the first inside after a game, ordered at the kiosk, sat, and waited for our food. 20 minutes pass and it’s suddenly full and people that just ordered are getting their food. I ask if we simply didn’t hear our name. Nope. Waited longer. Asked again and was told they were backed up. Sat down again. Now at 40 minutes, more people that just ordered got their food. I grabbed someone’s receipt that received food significantly after we did. Brought that to the counter and was told they were backed up like it wasn’t clocking that someone who ordered 10 min ago got their food before 3 parties that had been waiting 40-60 minutes for to go orders. It wasn’t until I was forced to yell at the employees and demand our food that it finally came out. I understand a busy restaurant with online orders, in store orders, and drive thru orders. I don’t understand how you can look at receipt timestamps and not understand a 45 min discrepancy. Oh and of course the food was cold and had probably been sitting in a drive thru queue. Do better. This isn’t rocket science.

If you have all day to wait for your food then this is the place for you!!!!! Slow machines closed down after 30 mons waiting then cook took everyone's receipts and instead of putting them in order of who was here first they just starting cooking by what receipt they had in front of them . Over an hour and still waiting for 2 hamburgers and 2 small fries. People that walked in like 20 mins are getting food first. This place sucks

Ordered on the kiosk, was able to self serve drinks scanning the code. Food was hot and exactly what we ordered. Milkshake was great. Bathroom was out of service and would have liked to wash hands and visit before driving the 90min home. When we left a car had broken down in the drive through and most of the employees were helping push it into a parking spot. Clapping when they succeeded! Was very kind of them.

I got a simple sandwich and they made it really fast but they forgot my pickles. I felt like that one fish from SpongeBob 😂 I also ordered onion rings which was actually the main reason I went there but I think they changed their oil or something because they tasted kinda sweet. I would still go back though, steak and shake rocks

I go to the drive-through around 11:22 and say I want Two garlic steak burgers with cheese So then, I say matter fact, make it three of them no fries
Once I get home to open the bag, I noticed there is a plain bun with onions and pickles
So I’ll go back to tell them that they didn’t make the order

Ordered online thinking that would save time (app said 5-10Mins) because I was on my lunch break. Ended up waiting 23mins for a burger and drink.. adding insult to injury the cook was eating food at the grill while prepping customers food. Terrible experience

Waited in drive-through for over an hour. The place was busy, but it's not like people were flooding out the doors or anything, orders were just being filled incredibly slow. It was literally around 20 minutes for a single drive-through customer to be served. I debated leaving several times, and I probably should have, but I suppose I fell victim to the sunk cost fallacy after a while. All I ordered was a combo meal and a shake. The food was alright, about what you'd expect from a fast food place; certainly not worth the wait.

Bad experience. “Self service” model has ruined Steak n Shake. Paid for our food at the kiosk, turns out they didn’t have what I ordered in stock but this was not communicated until the rest of our party’s food was ready. They are out of many items. Staff is overextended and it’s very hard to get assistance. Waited almost an hour for a refund on my items.
