We got take out from here for the first time. So delicious. We had Chorizo and potato, squashroom and veg with tomato. I cant wait to try the other varieties. So excited to find terrific tamales in Gainesville.

Tamales were good. Not super greasy like a lot of tamales tend to be. I'll definitely be back.

I LOVE TAMAL - my only concern is that the schedule doesn’t seem to be updated. I never know when they are open and I always have to drive by first to check!! Please fix!

Good spot to get some snackage. Tamales are so easy to munch on. The tamales are good for Gainesville standards no doubt. The corn soup had great broth but the corn was alil undercooked.

This place has tapped into a niche of authentic Latin food with creative tamale combinations, side dishes, mole, salsa and it’s all handmade. Get there early or call in ahead to guarantee your order, they sell out! Family owned and operated. This is the best food in Gainesville! Tight menu, with rotating tamal offerings. I shared the potato tamal and the chorizo tamal, and enjoying a side off collard greens. The tamals were delicious, just like my grandma used to make. Had that homemade flavor, unlike other restaurants that serve the dish. The greens were absolutely delicious. I really hope this place catches on.
Really yummy tamales, pretty flavorful beans (hey, I’m Brazilian, I have very high expectations for beans), I did love how brothy it was!! I recommend taking the food to go and eating at the nearby park. Would def eat there again!

If you want real, homemade tamales, made with love, this is the spot. Great spicy sides, too! We always add the greens or one of their swoon-worthy picked eggs. And it’s just a block from Depot Park. Soooo good....

Best tamales I've ever had. The place was cute and the setting was casual relaxed. The tamales were moist and the ingredients were fresh and altogether delicious!! Best spot in Gainesville for tamales I'm obsessed.

For a desert rat at heart (AZ native), I was super excited to be able to get tamales in Gainesville! The tamales are very very good and I love that they have a selection of traditional tamales as well as tamales with a southern twist. The masa is perfect thickness (I hate when it's too thin)! I would def get two tamales and a side if you're hungry. Super cute little shop, wish their hours were a little bit better. Prices are really reasonable. Yum!
