Baleadas is a variant of soft tacos with a few differences. It is a traditional Honduran food that is made from flour tortilla and folded in half like a taco with your choice of protein and a variety of fillings of your choice inside. Almost all varieties of the dish have mashed fried red beans and crumbled cheese inside with other ingredients.

Tela is one of my favorite spots on University Ave! Their quesadillas are seriously delicious: cheesy, flavorful, and cooked just right every time. The portion size is perfect for a meal, and they always taste fresh. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. It’s a great place to grab food with friends or stop by for a quick bite between classes. Definitely recommend if you’re in Gainesville and craving a good quesadilla!

The good: staff is really friendly, it's nice environment. They have Cholula and Valentina hot sauce.

The bad: the queso was really sour, and very thin. It was more like creamy lemon vinaigrette than queso. I couldn't figure out why, maybe they use the canned jalapenos that are loaded with citric acid.

The food is like Chipotle, but maybe a little better or worse, depending on who you ask

I tried Tela for the first time and had a great experience. The place looked clean and fresh, and the worker was really nice with quick service.

The menu is simple with options for bowls, burritos, or quesadillas. I went with a chicken bowl with white rice, pico de gallo, corn salsa, sweet plantain, cilantro, lettuce, hot honey vinaigrette, and chips. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared.
