This Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville wasn't the best. I just wish servers were taught to stay near their tables-to be near when needed, not hang out in the kitchen or at the stations talking to co-workers. When I was taught to serve, it was to anticipate and be available for my clients needs. Not hanging out with their backs to you or staying in the kitchen. They have food runners. You make money from tips....being there for the client=good tips. We waited, waived, called her name when she passed. A manager came by at the end-too late, when he should have been managing the servers. No standing around. Other tables needed help, too. She even told me she was watching the table that just got sat...we felt much better to hear she cared about them! I always over-tip for decent service. This was not expected from Texas Roadhouse. There were a couple seasoned servers who were hustling. Good on them. A lot of servers don't know how to hold a tray today and cardinal rule...no empty hands into or out of the kitchen-even if it's not your table. It equals a smooth shift for workers (helping each other) and nice visits for customers. Managers should be taught to TRAIN and manage better, so servers are better!

We eat here often when we visit Gainesville. I like the burnt beef tips with mashed potatoes and gravy nd a cup of chili or the steak strips on a salad.

Every time that I come here, the service is absolutely amazing. The servers are always friendly and are extremely prompt with taking our order, grabbing our drinks and refilling any breads. The food is always hot and the bread is always fresh, but this location seems to have an issue with how long it takes for food to actually get out to the tables. It always takes at least 30 to 45 minutes for the food to come out when we get our steaks cooked as medium and medium rare. Tonight was especially disappointing as our medium steak came out as completely rare and we had to send it back two separate times before it was finally correct.

Waited over an hour for our food. Everyone who came after us got their food first. When we received our food the sides were cold as all get out. They did take $15 off but I just packed the meat and left. It was just two of us .

What an incredible franchise. We’ve travelled across the entire United States over the last month and have dined in at 8 different restaurants. From Florida to Utah and everywhere in between, every single meal has been 10/10 without fail. Top tier big steaks, not some fancy little 2oz steak you pay $150 for. Best bang for your buck and the service is always great. I can’t even compare it to anything we have back in Australia 🇦🇺. I wish we had one back home
Our server was so amazing tonight! He had the best personality and a big smile that made us feel like he was truly happy to help us. He was attentive and kind. We felt like royalty! Thank you, Kurt!
