Slow service as in many reviews. Terrible people. Instead of trying to find out who gave you 1star, fix you terrible service. There is a reason people give you 1star. You can’t get better with this mentality.

Would NOT recommend anyone who is actually hungry to go there. Takeout lunch order placed, quoted time was 50 mins. Went there on time, but was told food was not ready......had to waste another 25 to 30 mins to wait there in Florida summer heat. So you need almost 75 80 mins to prepare and serve lunch food? And the place was not busy with only one table of two customers. The owner was extremely extremely rude. A simple polite apology for the delay would just solve the issue.But both the owner and the waitress acted like it’s everybody else’s fault, is it my fault??? After I read the others’ reviews, I realized that they have had this problem all the time. If you don’t realize your own patterns and problems, and keep having your customers starve and wait, I don’t see how they want to ever go back. If you are NOT hungry, and would like to put up with rude people, you may go check it out. Otherwise you may want to stay away.

Worst place ever! The restaurant is totally not busy with one table of two customers. Had to wait forever for simple sandwiches to be made. Waited 55 mins for two simple sandwiches OMG! As a restaurant you should first be able to serve food rather quickly during lunch as most of us do not have much lunch break time. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever! Please avoid this place. The service is horrible as well, have to wait forever for water to be refilled while waiting in hunger as well. The owner was very very rude......We told her we are pretty hungry and hoping to put a rush to our order. And she responded with coldness:“ well it’s lunch time you know？“ Yes we know! that’s why we waited almost an hour! Not a simple apology for the long wait. Shame on you! Worst! Worst ever!

Their masitas de cerdo were as good as we have had anywhere. The carne asada had great flavor, but was quite tough. That isn't too surprising for that cut, but it was tougher than others I have had in the past.
Let me start off with saying, I'm from Nicaragua, and the place has very authentic flavors. The pricing is fine but the portions, not so much. Last time I got "ropa vieja" it was about half a cup of the stewed meat! I hoped it'd be more. The extra side of "gallo pinto" was tiny. Although the portions are not what I'm used to (being from Miami) overall, you're getting it right! My coworkers like this place and go weekly but have commented on the portions too. Please portion a bit more generously and you'll keep 'em coming (another scoop goes a long way). I'll be back for sure. Thank you for bringing Nica food to Gainesville!

Terrible experience. I only have 30 minutes for lunch, ordered a pan con bistec spent 25 minutes waiting ended up having to leave without my food. It was so bad that one guy came in asked for a worker no one showed so he just took a pastelito and walked out.
