The Midnight Underground has a long and storied history in Gainesville as a local bar, hangout, artist venue and safe space for everyone. Current setup has almost daily events with a stage for trivia, open mic, bands, performances, sometimes karaoke and more.
A nice, chill vibe to get away from the college "fraternizing" at some other spots. Beer, wine, and tasty food. come check them out!
The Midnight is open still. It has new owners and management. I have been coming to this establishment a long time. It’s open late it isn’t noisy. Nice chill environment. Everytime I have done a long drive and I need to unwind I will come to the midnight underground. Anytime I have friends come from out of town I tell them about this establishment or I will bring them there myself.
