One of my favorite places in Gainesville to have a laid-back weekend night. Good fun, friends, and drinks. Friendly service and excellent events that vary from karaoke to horror movie nights. Killer Nachos. Truly my own personal 'Cheers'.
The Midnight Underground has a long and storied history in Gainesville as a local bar, hangout, artist venue and safe space for everyone. Current setup has almost daily events with a stage for trivia, open mic, bands, performances, sometimes karaoke and more.
A nice, chill vibe to get away from the college "fraternizing" at some other spots. Beer, wine, and tasty food. come check them out!
The Midnight is open still. It has new owners and management. The bar is fully stocked and there are events (like Sundays Arts and Drafts).It's a nice calm place to hang out, with lots of cool people, and great if you want to distress after work or school.Parking is validated via a QR code, for 4 hours and you can re-validate.
