The hidden places are the best, who knew that there was gonna be a mtin restaurant in this place? Like what? But this restaurant is 10/10 big surprise super nicely!! Super recomended come now!!

I visited this restaurant based on its impressive reviews, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations.
The service was notably slow, after placing our order, we waited a full 30 minutes before any food arrived. When the dishes finally came, both entrees suffered from the same major issue, that is the excessive saltiness! I ordered the grilled chicken with black beans and fries. While the chicken had a decent texture, it was unremarkable and overwhelmingly salty. The black beans were equally over-salted. My dining companion had the Cuban plate, where the pulled pork was so salty that we finished all the rice trying to balance it out but still couldn't manage to eat all the meat.

For dessert, we tried the Nutella tequeño, yet it was not salty, it was sickeningly sweet, completely inedible due to the overwhelming sugar content.
What's worse, when we sat down, there were uncleared rice grains still on our table from the previous diners.
At checkout, the minimum tip option was 18%, which felt unreasonable given this food quality and slow service.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on our visit.

We are beyond thrilled with the experience Tinker gave us for our wedding! They catered a beautiful buffet for us, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our guests absolutely loved the food! What made it even more special was the kindness and friendliness of the entire staff. They made us and our guests feel so welcome and taken care of, handling everything with such warmth and professionalism. I want to give a special thank you to Karen who was so accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process. Being able to celebrate right at the restaurant created the perfect atmosphere. We were able to relax in an intimate setting and truly enjoy our guest and wedding. Tinker truly went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and unforgettable. We are so grateful to the entire team and would highly recommend Tinker to anyone looking for incredible food, outstanding service, and a beautiful space for their celebration! We attended a Christmas party at Tinker’s in Tioga. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing! Service was great (shout out to Nani!). Will definitely go back!

We were in town from Nashville for the gator game. We had a large group with us. They were very accommodating great food. Great service will definitely be back when in Gainesville! Very family, friendly! Thank you!

Fun place with a couple vegan options on the menu and the ability to substitute. I ordered the vegan arepa and a side of plain yucca fries. Both were delicious!

This 2 hour trip started out as my little sister and I going to Gainesville to get a car and go back home, we ended up starving and going to the dealership and found this place nearby on Google. This was ABSOLUTELY worth a 2 hour drive (car or not) the staff are all friendly, kind and accommodating. The food was incredible which was a vegetarian is hard to find sometimes, at the time we were even able to sample a new dessert that hadn't been added to the menu yet. The chef there is amazing and she and josé deserve the highest praise for the quality and service they provide. Not to mention the atmosphere/design of the place. I most assuredly recommend 10/10 visit Tinker!!
