Really love their bread though pretty pricey. Wish they had more pastries. The cinnamon rolls are good but surprisingly no icing. Brownies extremely sweet. We visit a couple times a year when in Gainesville.
Vine Sourdough Bakery is a foundational piece of community eats here in Gainesville, FL. Their hot lunch menu is delicious, they have great pastries and coffee for the morning, and a fantastic selection of breads that you can take home for your own enjoyment. The experience is exponentially better because of the personable and friendly staff that provide excellent service as soon as you walk in the door. This is my Saturday morning go-to.
Thebread baker is a star. Excellent sourdough. Unfortunately to say your pastry chef is not so good. I have never had a bad croissant in my life until today. A croissant is supposed to be flaky. The croissant that I had today from your place was soggy and oily. I suspect that soeone does not know about using cold butter not a butter/oil mix. It was drenched in oil. I also had a scone that was at best mediocre......I threw it out after 3 bites. It wasn't awful like...
