Never had an order ready on time where you can just walk in and pick it up.

I had tried the location at hunters crossing and the food was always pretty good and fast service , this location was definitely not the same. It was very cold the night me and a group (with a 3 year old) went to eat there and we kept asking for the heaters to be turned on since we had to sit outside because we also had a dog. They kept forgetting and ended yo turning one on another table so we had to switch tables . Then the waitress kept forgetting or getting our orders wrong, they ran out of ingredients so had to change the food we ordered. It took 2 hours and everything came out at different times. Just a mess overall with mediocre food, the waitress was nice but she seemed very lost. Definitely not trying this one again.

If you have money to burn and a small appetite, I can wholeheartedly recommend Volcanic Sushi in the Haile Village.
ā One (1) piece of eel sushi a la carte: $7.
ā Shrimp tempura appetizer: $14.
š Takoyaki (Japanese snack consisting of ball of wheat flour batter cooked in a special pan and typically filled with octopus, pickled ginger, tempura scraps, and green onion): $10
š Half sized takeout soup container of Tom Kha Gai soup: $9
Order was accurate and ready upon my arrival.
Eel sushi was not worth it. A roll, maybe, but not a singleton with a thin, lonely sliver of eel (nickel for scale), regardless of whether fresh rather than frozen.
Shrimp tempura was outrageous, small sized and just like something straight from a convenient Asian market or even supermarket freezer case.
Takoyaki had a few tiny morsels of octopus lurking within and was reasonably good, despite the mere four (4) sub ping pong ball sized pieces.
Highlight was the soup, which struck me as made in house fresh and with pleasant mouth feel and a nice mixture of sweet and savory which meshed well and did not overpower either way.
Other area Asian places have a more reasonable price for portion structure, and while hype is a thing which I totally get, I think the folks who live in the relatively pricey subdivisions surrounding Haile Village are a bit of a captive audience and being served as such.
Parking: Curbside parking in the Haile Village.

Vegetarian options: You can modify and make some entree vegetarian or even vegan.
Dietary restrictions: Let them know what restrictions you have and they are pretty good usually with working around it.
Parking: You can literally park anywhere in Haile.
Kid-friendliness: They are great with kids and even have a great kidās menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: Door might be just the right size but the place is spacious.

This is a quaint sushi place in the middle of a charming old town area. Great for dates. The food is always presented very well. Just stop by for their tom khai soup
Parking: Wherever you can find in the town area. There is a parking lot and parallel parking on the streets. Would not go Saturday morning unless you are also visiting the very busy but great farmers market.

LIZ IS AWESOME!!
I often find myself near Volcano Sushi, just as I need some time to clear my head. I swing in, grab a bottle of saki, and just exist. Without fail, the staff are phenomenal. The customer service is on point. I truly feel welcomed. Sometimes I'm not open to conversation and they perfectly respect that. Then along comes Liz. Not only did she remember me, and what I wanted to order, but she asked how I was doing, compared to the last time I was in(I was overwhelmed and anxious). An extremely sweet moment from a stranger on a bad day. It means the absolute world to me. Y'all good people, thank you so much.

The sushi was really good but the service was bad and the place could use a deep clean. The sweet tea we ordered was old to the point of being impossible to drink. The table was sticky and had straw wrappers from previous patrons. The paper book menus had food all over them. The staff hung out at the bar and were not attentive at all. For the price, Iād expect better.
