Delicious and fresh sushi. The sushi is made in front of you and is a work of art. It does take a bit longer to get your sushi order, but it's worth it. Try the side salad with orange-ginger dressing! Fresh and tasty.

The AC today was NOT working... I order a Red curry which was extremely good but I was sweating because of the broke AC LOL. The server was very helpful sugesting different plates, my daughter had a California roll which was very good. I would come back and hopefully the AC is fixed! Lol this is why I am giving the 3 stars, but the ambiance is really nice, clean and neat!

Volcanic is our absolute favorite sushi restaurant. The food is wonderful—fresh, high quality, delicious, generous portions, and beautifully presented. The staff are so incredibly kind, helpful, and skillful.

I went there once and I can't wait to go back. The food was so fresh and amazing. I ordered a vegan sushi roll which was amazingly fresh and delicious. The wait staff was so helpful and kind because I only had 20 minutes to kill and they were right there to help me get out on time while having enjoyed some sake and sushi that was worth five stars plus. I'm looking forward to going back today. They are so clean and welcoming.

My daughter chose this place for a graduation luncheon with our family of 10. What a great place! The food was outstanding, and the service over the top. I only wish my daughter had told me about this place earlier in her seven year stint at UF. The appetizers were great and the meals perfect (I sampled a few at the table.) The Lobster Roll was quite the presentation (and good!)

Will definitely go here if traveling through Gainesville again. And thank you to the staff for making this a great family gathering.

My wife loves their sushi platters with a mix of roll and sashimi. I like their cooked entrees, so we're both happy to eat there for lunch or dinner before grocery shopping.
