The food was just average didn’t compare to the cost. We ordered the crunchy Wheres Wally fried sushi rolls which ordering it to go may have been a bad idea because they were soggy and messy and lacking flavor. I had to drench them in eel sauce after the first few bites to add flavor. We also ordered bang bang fried, tofu rice bowl which was lacking any flavor besides spicy (hot) and the tofu was not crunchy. I would rate this place a 2.5 out of 5, the total cost was $52 and some change. I’ve spent $50 at rock ‘n’ roll sushi and gotten three sushi rolls and a bowl of fried rice and their kick’ n’ chicken nuggets, the presentation and food is a 10 out of 10 there I would say eat IN at volcanic sushi do not order OUT, for those that follow my reviews I’ll go there one more time and get pictures of both eat in and take out.

This place wasn't necessarily bad, I've just had a lot better sushi for a much more reasonable price

Just ok food attempts to make up for sub-par service. 2 servers and 2 sushi chefs struggled to keep up with their Saturday dine-in service amidst a flood of door dash and Uber eats orders. Under dressed app-drivers crowding the entryway is a definite buzzkill upon arrival, restaurant management should make them wait elsewhere and prioritize dine in. Pricing is a little bit steep for inconsistent cuts on sushi rolls. Ditch the orchid garnish and pay the staff better with the savings. They'll do better work.

I’m not typically one to leave reviews, but Volcanic Sushi deserves all the praise! This is my favorite sushi place in town by far. They never disappoint. The food is delicious, people are amazing, and the atmosphere is cozy. I will always recommend Volcanic Sushi to those who are looking for restaurant suggestions. My boyfriend and I always get the local favorites rolls which I pictured here. Beautiful presentation and even better taste!?

We eat sushi often and visited this establishment.Started off with tuna tataki. Tuna smelled off not fresh.I sent it back.We had two other rolls that were just ok.My bill still had the tataki even though I had sent it back for good reasons. The girl that served was clearly annoyed and rude. Sorry but tuna not fresh, I don't eat it. Certainly not raw.Never again.

Volcanic sushi is one of the best in Gainesville. Their service and atmosphere is great. They have a wide range of great things to eat. I definitely recommend any of their sushi rolls, and their Tofu fried rice, or their Combination (steak, chicken, shrimp) fried rice is the best!!Vegetarian options: Tofu Fried rice ?Dietary restrictions: Yes plenty of vegetables to order and chicken or salmonParking: Their parking is small but there's more parking next to it. There's a Publix right in the plaza so there's enough parkingKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly. Good vibe in there.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, wheelchair accessible

Restaurant is cozy with a mixture of booths & open tables. There is also a limited wine bar that allows space for more casual eating while watching TV (Sports). There appears to be a generous amount of take out customers also.Parking: The Restaurant is at the end of the plaza that has many other businesses ( Publix, Liquor store, Insurance company etc.)Wheelchair accessibility: The plaza has areas where the sidewalk is setup to allow wheelchair. May not be directly in front of each business but it's accessible with little effort.

Super slow. Didn’t seem to care. Not busy at all. Horrible music playing on a loop.Waiting for over 15 min to get food that should be already completed. Still didn’t care. Just kept saying a couple more minutes.

Tiffany is amazing !! She gives great customer service and was so sweet. I gave 4 stars because I came for the lollipop roll and wasn’t a big fan): the sauce on it seemed a little sour and I didn’t
