Horrible experience. The food was the worst. Chef had no personality and food was tasteless. Spoke to the “manager”. Did nothing. Never again. Poor food quality. Rude staff. Manager is clueless how to deal with unsatisfied guests. Good riddance Avoid this place. Not worth the wait or money anymore.

This is the my FAVORITE restaurant thus far. It is better than my top 3 restaurants in South Florida combined! The food is perfect in every single way. I don’t know what ingredients they use, but I feel I am transporting to another dimension while ingesting. The smells, atmosphere, and chefs all make it even better. The chefs each have an individual life story and twist to how they make the Hibachi which gives credence to the ambiance. The fried rice is the best thing I’ve ever taken. The noodles are better than all of the noodle speciality places combined. I hope to meet the owner one day. What a legend!

The meal was good but there is a tremendous amount of smoke. I left feeling like I could still smell it on my clothes. The hostess was wearing ripped jeans and a cut off T-shirt, not exactly what you want to see from a “Steakhouse”

The past couple times we have come here have been so so experience. We came here last night for dinner on a Saturday with over an hour wait we were super hungry by the time we were actually seated. Our server was on top of everything before we could even ask for it. Then our chef was super awesome and we had a great conversation with him while he was cooking. They both made the long wait worth it. We highly recommend chef Thomas and server Cassie!!!! Will definitely be going back for the two of them!!!!

Food was pretty good. We ordered the hibachi style meal but did not get teriyaki sauce on our food which it normally comes with. Aside from that, food was good.

While visiting the Gainesville area, we decided to grab lunch, hibachi style. We love our Yamato's back home and decided to see if this location was just as good.We were lucky enough to be the lunch rush. We were politely greeted by the host upon entry. Note, if your entire party isn't there, you will have to wait ??‍♀️. We were a party of two and were sat immediately. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. Shortly after, she came back for our entrée order. Shortly after, our chef arrived. He wasn't too keen on having to put on a show for just two people. We were slightly disappointed that we didn't get any of the bells and whistles. It was lackluster. But lucky for us, we got allll the food ? split between the two us. This will be our meals for the next two days...lol.The soup and ginger salad were delicious per usual ?. As for the meats (chicken, shrimp, salmon & steak), they were cooked perfectly. Very tasty and well seasoned. Unfortunately, although they were still good, our sides (rice, noodles, and veggies) were over seasoned. They were on the salty side. We drenched them with their yummy yum, yum sauce, and called it a day...lol ??‍♀️.Our chef moved on to his next group and guess what, they got the full experience ??‍?.Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves and will continue to patronize Yamato's. If you're in the area, stop on by.

Horrendous experience. Hostess has no people skills and was standoffish - terrible way to greet customers.Food was an epic disaster. "Steak" was chewy and low quality and poorly seasoned. Almost like when meat is cooked or boiled straight from frozen. We couldn't finish more than a few bites before abandoning it. Dogs wouldn't even eat this steak. Avoid this place, it has gone downhill.

The hostess was very accommodating. Our cook/chef was hilarious, and very entertaining. I’m giving two stars for service just because the place was so grungy. The food was not very well prepared, all of the meal items were overcooked and over seasoned. The dining area was very, very grungy. the walls were greasy covered with dust stuck to the grease. Every glass surface had a layer of grease. The ventilation was very poor in the place. Overpriced for the quality of food.
