Out of bread. Pasta is not made in house like advertised. Paid $40 for plain red sauce over noodles with 3 meatballs. The chicken and mushroom pasta only had a few pieces of mushrooms. Our waitress was very nice !

The food was not even mediocre… my husband order chicken piccata and there was no sauce and the chicken tasted boiled. I had the special 3 meat bolognese. The Priscilla. Unfortunately, there was no meat, much less 3 meat. My super Tuscan wine was probably less than a 3 oz pour. We live here and have frequented this restaurant for years on end. We will never go back because the quality and prep of the of the food was so disappointing. So sad… we’ve always loved the restaurant

Excellent food and service. Fried oyster appetizer and eggplant lasagna were favorites.

After much hype, we left here a little disappointed. First of all, the wine pairing is not worth the price. I recommend looking the menu and choosing a bottle or a couple of glasses. One of the wines in the pairing was a Pet Nat, which I’m not the biggest fan of, but I was willing to try it. After taking a few tastes, I couldn’t tolerate it anymore. Despite the overall attentive service, they failed to notice that I didn’t care for the pairing and offer an alternative. I work as a sommelier and say that is pretty lousy practice. They have all the ones open and on the menu as a by the glass option, so they could have offered a revisit of something else. Additionally, a server spilled an item on my spouse as they cleared a course, but we weee willing to overlook that. The food was creative and well presented. I came in expecting that some dishes and ingredients would be unfamiliar and was OK with that, but I found the duck to be disappointing for all it was hyped up to be. The oyster and the mussels were absolutely divine. To be honest, we left a little hungry, and that shouldn’t be the case after an 11ish course menu.

First time visiting Borago and will be back!
Friendly staff - enjoyed talking to Jacey and Todd - who were personable and knowledgeable.
I had chicken fettuccine and my husband a penne pasta with sausage. We split the strawberry blueberry crisp. Everything perfect.

Honestly, pretty upsetting. They have messed up our reservation twice now, leaving us to scramble. The first time they put us down for 4 when there was only 2. The second time they put us down for 8, when there was 6, at a completely different time than they had originally told us. My mom could not get them on the phone, and had to go in person to make a reservation. Their system was completely on paper which is charming, but definitely leaves room for error. The young girl at the front was dismissive, and unhelpful. I understand it’s been there a while and whatever, and if it was once it would be fine. Twice is pretty frustrating. Don’t think we’ll go for lucky number 3.

Absolutely wonderful. We are thrilled to finally discover this hidden gem. Quiet elegant setting, with an outdoor screened porch or lovely indoor dining including bar seating. Reservations required and atmosphere best suited for adults. Nice menu selection of Italian inspired dishes and a couple seafood and beef/pork dishes. We really enjoyed the Lamb meatball appetizer on polenta and our main entrees were perfect. Nice wine and cocktail offerings. Service was outstanding, attentive but not rushed. Focus was on guest experience. Cash payments preferred with an upcharge of 4% of bill for credit cards payments. Prices are reflective of the area and quality of the dishes. Parking is slightly problematic with limited spaces in front and roadside parking which requires crossing busy and dark 30A. We hope to return often if reservations are available.

We had a great evening at Borago in Santa Rosa Beach. The steak was excellent, and the service was top-notch. It’s become my favorite spot in the area.

It was my wife's birthday. We've been there before she ordered a dish and it wasn't what she ordered and when I went up and asked how come my wife got this dish and it didn't have the ingredients in it that said on the menu and he replied, we didn't have it anyway I got a pasta dish with Angel hair pasta with a red sauce and shrimp. The shrimp were delicious. The sauce was scorched. We left very disappointed someone came to the table and gave excuses. That's not what we were looking for. We were looking for what we wanted to eat for dinner. I also noticed that the chef was using his hands to touch all the food he pick you could see him picking the pasta up with his hands you could see him picking the shrimp up. You could see him picking the chicken up, but he never washed his hands never one time to me that's cross-contamination. I couldn't believe what I was seeing . when I asked them about why they were picking all the food up with their bare hands and not washing their hands they said well that's the way they always do it again. I left very disappointed. The last time we ate here, the food was much better. I couldn't believe what I was watching from the dining room about how the chef was handling everything with his bare hands and not washing his hands not even one time.

Best Italian food I've had in a long while. The tomato/marinara sauce was outstanding. The fried oysters were very nice as well. The acoustics in this restaurant are poor, so it did get a little loud, but the food was worth it. This was our best meal in Seaside thus far for our trip. Will definitely be back!

Our dining experience at Borago was nothing short of exceptional. The service was impeccable from start to finish, with a genuinely friendly and attentive staff. We were absolutely blown away by the food, starting with the endless basket of baked focaccia bread, perfect for dipping in the oil and balsamic. Both the grouper and the pan-seared shrimp with angel hair pasta were outstanding—the seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. We left feeling both satisfied and ready to return for another memorable meal
