The Local is a great spot to go to chill and relax, either by yourself or with a friend. I'm here at least once or twice a week. Bartenders are welcoming, friendly and even the other customers are nice. The place is so chill. I've been coming her for a while now. If you're looking for something not overly crowded, friendly service, and great people to be around, then The Local is the place to be. Drinks are on point, too!

The rudest bar tender ever, Anist! She literally played on her phone and ignored us. THE MALE BAR TENDER WAS GREAT! I usally stop by and see Joe, during the day which has always been awsome but need less to say I will not be back!!!
My friend and I stopped by The Local DH on Saturday night, and the place was completely deserted other than one occupied table and a few people sitting at the bar. We paid to play pool, intending to order drinks afterward, but shortly after inserting our money into the pool table, we were approached by a staff member who shockingly asked us to leave because we hadn’t purchased drinks first. When I pointed out that we HAD paid to play pool, he merely shrugged uncomfortably. There was not a waiting list for the table, we had not been squatting there for hours and not purchased anything, we had only been in the building for about 5 minutes and we were keeping to ourselves. We were just there to enjoy a quiet game of pool and order a drink after, but were instead asked to leave, which begs the question why? Did the way we presented ourselves bother someone, because the treatment felt discriminatory, leaving us feeling humiliated and unwelcome, which is ironic considering this place has a reputation for serving to fake IDs, so you wouldn’t think they’d be so choosy about their clientele. This bar is unprofessional, disrespectful, and not worth anyone’s time. Avoid this place at all costs.

My friend and I visited The Local DH on Saturday night, excited to spend time together. We paid to play pool, planning to order drinks after our game. To our shock, we were rudely asked to leave for not buying drinks first. We felt discriminated against, disrespected, and unwelcome. The staff was unprofessional and even served alcohol to underage high school students. This experience was hurtful and disappointing. I would not recommend this bar to anyone seeking a welcoming and responsible establishment.
REVIEW FOR THE ORLANDO LOCATION: I wanted more people to see my review and hopefully get help to get the contact for the person who owns the company. This happened a year ago and im sure not all locations are like this. I used to love coming here. Too bad I got banned for no reason. Not only that but before I got banned I got harassed and threatened by one of the bartenders Alie (she got fired the next day cuz of it but it still haunts me to this day) I didnt tip her that night cuz of how she treated me and she threw my phone in lake eola :). Too many people get banned for stupid reasons.
The bartender was SUPER rude. My husband and I came in to use the bathroom after having a long day of travel. I came out the restroom first (and sat at the bar across from the men’s bathroom) to wait on my husband and the bartender told me if me and my “friend” are not ordering anything then we need to leave. I definitely felt I was being discriminated upon considering I am a black woman married to a white man. I don’t feel a white person/woman would’ve received the same treatment. I will be taking this to a higher court!

I went there by myself at about 7:00 PM on Saturday night (my friends were sleepy or something so I told them to drop me off) had a wonderful time. Carrie (I hope I spelled that right) and Adrian were awesome, very friendly and great service. I played darts and pool with some cool people I met and had a wonderful time! Definiteley going back there as I’m somewhat new to the area.

Hello potential customers or future employees,Please beware before working or being a consumer here. If you thought the management at your job was terrible, times it by ten and you have the Local. Jeff Barnes has his head so far up his butt he could literally care less about his employees. The turnover rate here is about one to two months which has most employees just starting working 9-10 days straight. The managers will teach you how to push shots and drinks onto people who don't want it, and if you don't meet certain metrics, good luck if you still have a job or are not reminded of how bad of a bartender you are. Your mental and emotional health will go down the drain as well as your social life. The amount of daily emails you will receive about how your performance is bad is enough to make your own book. The list can go on, but trust me when I say no one that currently works there was there when I was there 2 months ago.For consumers, the prices are outrageous. A high noon is $8 or a shot of jameson is $9. You can go anywhere else and pay half of this. The owner prices this way because he claims he owns a "premium bar" when in reality it looks no more than a dive bar. Their $5 specials and loyalty program perks change every other day giving customers no consistency. One location constantly has broken urinals which makes the bar smell like pee. Majority of the bartenders look miserable while working because they are forced to be stuck there for 8+ hours to make $40. Just a reminder that it's the bartenders fault there are no customers because it's their job to post on social media and market the bar and they are all bad bartenders. Lastly, the cleanliness is not where it should be. Behind the bar is filled with mold and most of the fruit is weeks old. One of the sinks pipes is full of old fruit which makes it radiate an awful smell when turning on the washer. This is just a small amount of problems with this place. Also, hello Jeff and management since I know you'll be reading this. I hope your business eats it and you all are having the days you deserve.

I think tonight makes my fourth time here in the past week or so. I live near by but just never stopped in, decided to give it a try last weekend. First off kudos to Shana she is a great Bartender with excellent customer service and knows how to keep the party and conversation going! I’ve been lucky enough to have half of my encounters be with her as she seems to work the day I come in. I also met Braxton who makes probably one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. While the customer service and the drinks are superb I will say I think the prices are a little high for a “local bar” and inconsistent, while both make excellent drinks I think it should be uniformed across the board and also only been coming for a week or so and the “specials” in reference to their loyaltyProgram have already changed and I overheard in conversation from others that this is a rare occurrence. But over all I keep coming back for the service and the excellent margaritas!

Always treat me like I'm at Cheers
The local is a mediocre bar, yet I was absolutely blown away by the outstanding bartender (Sydney). Not only was she absolutely gorgeous, but she also made the very best Jack & Coke that the west coast of Florida has yet to see. Excellent service and witty banter, would come back….. if I was not banned from the bar.
