Flounder's Chowder House

Went last night for my birthday dinner and we were blown away! No wait, Tequila the bird and the stuffed flounder is the best meal we’ve ever eaten! We plan on going back again before we head home. Also got a free piece of key like pie for my birthday and the service was amazing!

We ate here tonight and had a great experience. Our waitress, Lela, was great. I had the red snapper with the lemon caper sauce and it was amazing! Hubby (he’s very picky) had the oysters, clam chowder, and grilled seafood platter and was impressed as well. We will be back!

We visited Flounder’s last Friday, 9/19, and had a great experience, and a big part of that was thanks to our awesome server, Victoria. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. She struck the perfect balance of personable and friendly without ever being overbearing. It’s clear she cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does. The food and drinks were delicious as always! We all love Flounders, especially our 8 year old daughter!

The warm bread is to die for i got the nachos and it had a fish I wasn't familiar with. But my husband loved his meal and it was the most affordable meal we had on the island.

Gabrielle is a terrific server, very personable and attentive. Flounders has a hard working and friendly crew. Gabrielle returned for table touches at good intervals. I love the covered outdoor seating and friendly staff. I had delicious hush puppies (plenty to take home!), Cesar salad and oyster PoBoy. My food was really good. I ordered key lime pie to go and the serving is 3 slices! Plenty to share with friend. Nice tart flavor and creamy texture. Great experience. Decor is really fun too. Certainly recommend visitors go to Flounders for good food and fun surroundings.

When I'm back home it would be criminal not to visit Flounders, where the best Bushwhacker hands down is made. Plus, the food is scrumptious. Our recent visit was to salute a dear friend who has since passed. He loved Founder's Bushwhackers with a shot of 151 on top. I also had the Firecracker tacos. They are large and they are delicious! My wife who has a seafood allergy had the chicken tenders and fries. Our server (Anthony) was on point! A complete satisfying experience from the time we entered, until we departed. Thank you all Founders staff for this pleasurable dining experience.

Loved it all. Great atmosphere. Had a great kids menu. And Erin the waitress was so nice. She was on her game checking on us. I switched out the reg shrimp for the coconut shrimp / salad. That was wonderful.
