Great dining experience in all categories!!!
By far my favorite Italian food in the St Pete area. Perfect portions and authentic quality. You will not be disappointed.
Never.
Meatballs best in flavor, chicken piccata was marginal, scampi on the smaller side, waitstaff was attentive
Great Fathers Day Luncheon. Pasta Primavera, Lasagna, bread with sun dried tomatoes and olive oil dip. Served hot and delicious. Absolutely fantastic flavor and great portions. The waitress was superb. Will definitely go back.
Can’t rate food or service because they sat us outside on the “air conditioned” “enclosed” patio. It was so open that the ACs did nothing. It was hotttt. And there were tiny ants all over the table and menus. We had ordered drinks, but decided to leave so we had 2 sips, paid, and left. Sad.
The inside looked really nice. The patio was a disgrace.
I came across a post about Pias and decided to give it a try yesterday evening. Unfortunately, the entire experience from the service to the food was disappointing. I joined the waitlist and was told I would receive a text message when our table was ready in approximately 30–45 minutes. After waiting over an hour outside the restaurant and watching several parties who arrived after us get seated, I approached the hostess to check on the status. I was then told that a text had been sent “a long time ago” and that we had been skipped. I never received a notification, nor was there any apology for the oversight. Despite the frustrating start, we decided to stay since we had already waited so long. However, the service continued to fall short. Our server seemed overwhelmed and forgot multiple items we requested, including a straw, a side salad, and a second drink. To top it off, the food was underwhelming and overpriced. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and one I wouldn’t recommend.
Menu did not list TREE NUT INGREDIENTS in weekly special. Medical emergency. ”That will teach me to try something new,” my cousin said after he stabilized. Item was a pasta with a “creamy sauce.” He knew immediately after tasting that something wasn’t right. We called the server over and asked about tree nuts and were told that the cream sauce was cashew based. I have a photo of the specials menu and that was not indicated at all on the listing. We paid in full for the meal, including the bad entree, because we were frantic to get my cousin out, plus a generous tip because our server was great. The next day we emailed Pia’s, hoping for an apology, and a vow from them to bring their menu listings up to safety code, but never heard back. Hence this review. The whole thing was so upsetting we decided not to pursue it, but guests should know that anaphylaxis is a very real risk at Pia’s and you should not rely on the menu for complete ingredients. My cousin lives nearby and Pia’s has been a favorite for years. We were so happy to be having a lovely night out - service, appetizers, and drinks, were great - but this experience broke that faith you have to have in food service.
My boyfriend and I went to Pia’s for Valentine’s Day, and we had a wonderful experience. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, which was great given how busy the night was. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and gave us some excellent recommendations. I’m gluten-free, and they made sure I had plenty of options, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and romantic, and the service was top-notch. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Pia's has been one of my favorite restaurants. However, last night while ordering the Pasta Primavera, the server asked if I wanted linguini or butterfly pasta. I chose linguini. When I got my check I noticed a $2 upcharge for the linguini. I was never told of this while ordering and was shocked that in an Italian restaurant, they would charge extra for linguini pasta! It's one thing that they already charge you extra for bread, (what Italian restaurant does that?). If you have to raise your prices, build it into your menu, don't charge people for bread and extra for pasta that they're already paying for. So that's the reason for your three-star review.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this Family owned restaurant. From quiet date night to graduation celebration they create an amazing experience! Josh helped get everything set just right, Jonathan helped make our family style meal AMAZING and perfect for our group. Annie made sure everyone had everything we needed. They all truly treated our family celebration like we were their family! And the food!! Oh my gosh, even my son, the guest honor said all the food was just like Nonna made when we would come to visit! Everything was fresh and Hot and the flavors of Italy came shining through. The experience was priceless and the cost was manageable and more than fair. Thanks Pia and family for an afternoon celebration to remember!
