I didn’t rate the food because I typically go to Sumitra just for coffee. Their Kyoto is more than delicious! It has transformed my health! I went from hot coffee to cold brew Kyoto and my belly Bloating issues were completely gone the very first day! Maurice, the owner of Sumitra, has been so helpful in selecting a Kyota machine for my home use. I’m now buying my Kyoto ground coffee and back up coffee from Sumitra on a regular basis. Delicious and life transforming!
And the time investment of care that’s been provided from Maurice down to every server at Sumitra has made the whole experience so vibrant and personable. I highly recommend going in for coffee to go or enjoy the luxurious vibe of the inside decor! And Tuesdays at 10 amazing music right outside. Five stars for me!

This will forever be my favorite cafe in St Pete 🩵 I come here weekly and it almost feels like a second home. The owner along with all the lovely female employees are incredible and so kind. Their fresh cocao, iced coffee, teas and baked goods are all to die for. The atmosphere is Moroccan inspired and with lovely music playing in the background. Tuesdays are fun, as the Gulfport market happens and they have live music right outside the cafe! Thank you SumitRa for being my favorite cozy spot to get work done and to simply be present.

We always have a great experience at sumitrA. The pastries and coffee are great. Though we have not tried their cbd options, we would like to eventually. Great place to walk to from town, lots of places to sit both indoors and outdoors, with great wifi accessibility. Espresso and cortado are always on point! Even when there is new staff being trained, they do a great job at remaining efficient. Definitely my favorite of the local coffee joints!

Husband got a drinking chocolate with an added shot of espresso which was good. I got an iced maple cinnamon latte with oat milk. The girls working were overwhelmed by the amount of customers and genuinely seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and had to remake another person's cold brew while we were waiting to order. Another guy got a chai but they made it iced when it was supposed to he got. They thought someone else had grabbed my drink but they had it sitting there and just never gave it to me. It was $9 alone (I did add a shot since it only comes with one and of course changed my mil to oat but still other places this would be maybe $7.50.) I took one sip and threw it in the trash can down the street it tasted like some sugary water. It's so sad that it's near impossible to find a coffee shop that actually has good coffee.

SumitrA is a special place within Gulfport, a very special charming walkable village. SumitrA has an exotic and cozy interior, and plenty of shaded outdoor seating. The drinking chocolates and desserts are unlike anywhere else, and the staff are wonderful. It's worth driving to from wherever you are. SumitrA will become one of your favorite habits.
