Got a cappuccino, it was nothing special, more like a latte than cappuccino. Espresso wasn't as flavorful as I'd have thought for a dark Colombian espresso. Asked the barista some questions and she was not very interested or knowledgeable. The vibes however were fantastic, very eclectic, relaxing vibes with events , like live local music. I think if they focus on their coffee experience a little more, this will become a great gem.

Stopped by today - moderately busy, but still places left to sit. Clean. Pleasant service without an extended wait. One of our two coffees made incorrectly, and that one was just a cold brew with a shot of syrup...which was missing. Not worth the drama to ask for a remake and we still had a relaxing visit. As is most people's custom, we went to drop our cups in the bus pan near the counter. One of the team members was standing chatting with the table that's almost up against the service counter, so we couldn't reach the pan... and even though we were standing right there she couldn't be bothered to take a break from her personal conversation (and stroking her belly) to acknowledge our presence and either move or take them from us. Either would have worked, but mebbe talking and adjusting her crop top maxed out her abilities? Dunno. We patiently waited what we thought was an appropriate amount of time to be acknowledged, but no joy - we finally just left them on the window table. We're good with the relaxed vibe, but.. come on. Yeah, we're just old hippes - and so not as cool as your nouveau hippie friends - but we deserve to be acknowledged.

Re the response - thanks for letting us know how we're wrong. No worries, we won't ever try to clean our own table again. And perhaps that wasn't your team member , but she certainly was behind the counter when we were ordering, so....?

Cosy environment. Nicely decorated. The chai was a bit on the weak side for my liking. Tiramisu was very nice

Had a hot chocolate (kids) and one of the Mayan sipping chocolates. Both were fine, but didn’t love.

Would have loved to give this place 5 stars, as the coffee was delicious and server was friendly, however I was charged $1 US extra to add a splash of soy milk to my drip coffee. When I can buy a whole carton of soy milk in the grocery store for $3 (and I’m sure a restaurant can get them cheaper from a supplier), it feels like highway robbery to add a surcharge for so little and only to non-dairy milk. While I still do not think it’s right to incentivize consuming dairy milk (not to mention biased against folks with lactose intolerance) I have seen other coffee shops charge extra for dairy alternatives, especially if ordering a latte.

I love SumitrA. It’s such a gem in our community. Perfect place to work inside, meet a friend or sit outside and enjoy live music over a gorgeous beverage. Also a coffee to go is always an ease when on a time crunch.

Cute local shop. Cafe space on the bottom floor with various businesses upstairs which gave it a cool vibe. Coffee was good and staff was very kind. Fair amount of seating, some with more shared spaces if you’re okay with that. Not that many good tables to work from (3-4?) and could be difficult to keep laptop plugged in if you needed to.
Atmosphere only got 4/5 due to “WFH-ability”

The most comfortable combination of eats/treats and coffee plus (many other bevs) with art and anesthetic ambiance - centrally located in Gulfport - containing the coolest vibe in the Tampa Bay area ~

Beautiful and cozy tea place where you can sit inside or out. Great selection of teas and coffee along with organic nondairy milks. They also have pastries.

This is one of the most chill places I've ever been to. Fantastic lemon bar and though I didn't try the coffee I will be back to do so! The staff are very welcoming too. I don't have a singular bad thing to say about SumatrA and I hope to come back in the future!

Lovely little spot to hang out. Coffee is great, haven’t tried the drinking chocolate yet. The vegan chocolate torte was absolutely incredible.
