The chicken was amazing. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. Others in our party had a fish dinner and said it was really good. The chicken livers were cooked just right. Baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad didn't disappoint. The collard greens were on point. Not too salty and seasoned for a great taste. Definitely will be going back.
Not what I am used to getting from there. The gizzards were not the same as the previous staff used to serve but the staff is above being friendly and courteous. The atmosphere there is very feel good but the chicken gizzards need to be pressure cooked a little bit longer before they’re fried. This is take out only no tables in the establishment. With that said the food is really good. The chicken is cooked to perfection. A crispy and nicely seasoned coating a with juicy meat. I was excited for the collards, but they were not that flavorful. The mac and cheese was also good even though I am not a fan normally. I will be back to try the fritters and hush puppies. OMG the gizzards are a must.
