I tried Tropical Temptations twice and both times the food was absolutely delicious! My first time visiting I ordered the vegan curry option which had a wide variety of vegetables (peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.) and plant-based meat. I had the curry with rice & peas and plantain (cooked to perfection!). Everything I ate was bursting with flavor and spice but not too spicy. I ordered the curry chicken and stew chicken with an assortment of sides (cabbage, plantain, white rice, rice & peas) for my family who enjoyed it. They did share the Mac & Cheese could use some improvement flavor wise and more cheese but they loved the meat dishes and wished I ordered two sides of rice & peas (some of the best I’ve had). The second time I ate from here my mom made a special request for the chef to make a plant-based stew peas meal. She was so kind to make a meal not on the menu and allowed my mom to taste before packaging. I’ve tried a lot of stew-peas and I have to say this dish was the best one I’ve had. Everything was PERFECT! The spinners, peas, veggies, and seasoning paired with white rice and plantain delicious! I love spice so I added more hot sauce at home but honestly her food is soooooo flavorful you don’t need to add anything else. Her portions last for at least two days and it’s worth the price! Definitely would order that again and again! I’m so glad I found a local Jamaican restaurant/food truck that serves plant-based and vegetarian options. Now I just have to go back to try the breakfast which I’m sure will be delicious.

The brown stew chicken and rice and peas is so delicious 10/10 it’s like so really good. Can’t wait to try the salt fish fritters

Don't waste your time or money going to this place. The owner treats customers—and even his own employee—very poorly. The food takes over an hour to arrive. It is absolutely terrible.

If you’re in Haines City and want REAL Jamaican food, this is the spot! They never miss they got my money every time. And don’t even get me started on the festivals… literally to die for!

My husband and I always drove passed but never stopped. Tonight we ordered ackee and Saltfish and jerk chicken. But didn’t expect the boiled plantain when I opened it. Haven’t been to a Jamaican spot that does boiled plantain in years. As a Jamaican born who favorite food is our national dish, it was good. My festival was a little greasy but It was good too. The jerk chicken was good too. Sorrel my favorite brought back memories too.

Some of the best oxtail I’ve had in central Florida and the service was great. He even let me sample before hand and I was sold immediately. Will be a go to anytime we are in Haines City!

I went to buy 1 beef patty, I tried their oxtail and it was good. I left with two Patties and a large Oxtal. I will be back to try their curry goat next
