El Tayta disappoints - twice in one week!!
First visit: $130 bill, very slow service, and our waiter vanished on a food delivery, left us unattended for 15 minutes. No one came to care for us and I had to flag someone down to order more drinks.
Second visit: $90 bill, I asked our waiter if they really charged me for an ice tea refill and an aggressive owner comes to our table to argue with me. She made $3 on a $.05 refill and lost three good customers.
BEWARE: Automatic gratuity, 3.5% card fee, and misleading and sneaky double-tip prompts at bottom of receipt to make some diners tip twice.
Too many good Peruvian restaurants in the Hallandale Beach area to put up with decent food, horrible service, unscrupulous practices by an owner who takes out her personal problems on customers.

Robert and I absolutely love this place. We’ve passed it so many times and today decided to go in and try a meal… well from the moment we walked in we loved the decor. The service was wonderful…welcoming upon entering …it is spotless. Food was tasty and timely served. We will definitely come back… Amy, you were excellent. Every dish here is on the mark and cooked with great attention to detail. Compliments to the chef and the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. I lived in Peru for many years, and the food here is the most authentic I have found in the US. The variety of freshly prepared dishes is noteworthy but does not detract from the quality of the. Everything we have tried has been delicious.

Eltayta Peruvian Restaurant never disappoints! My husband and I had the Fried Snapper (whole), and it was absolutely outstanding — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The white rice, sweet plantains, crisp salad, and tostones were the perfect complement, each bursting with authentic flavor.
We also enjoyed the homemade lemonade and their special sangria deal two for $17 and it was refreshing, vibrant, and full of just the right balance of sweetness and fruitiness. My brothers and nephew ordered the Seafood Mariscos, and they couldn’t stop raving about how rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared it was.
The service was warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Every visit reminds us why Eltayta is one of our favorite spots consistently amazing food, wonderful drinks, and a truly delightful dining experience!
Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Peruvian cuisine! 🇵🇪✨

it's no wonder it was empty when I went there and all the other restaurants were full... if El Tayta offers a dinner "special", you would think that they would make it with a little more care than they currently do... apparently, they didn't think that people would use that meal ($10 dinner special) to gage weather or not they are worth another visit. plantains dryed out and wrinkled extra money. Two sides were the rice and beans. and the chicken breast with bone in was DRY. Will not be returning, and you should not waste your time. Portion size was too small. I wish I had taken a photo on the sad little meal.
