“Old Days has been a consistently good spot, but I’ve noticed a slight decline in food quality over my last few visits. The first two times I went, everything was excellent easily a five-star experience. However, the last two visits felt a bit different, and I suspect they may have a new chef. The drinks are still phenomenal, which is a major plus, but the food has changed slightly.

For example, the beef short rib was still very good, but I preferred the previous version with the rich gravy rather than the jus it now comes with. The latte was solid, no complaints there. Overall, I’d rate it a strong four across the board. I’ll definitely be back, but I do hope they bring back some of the flavors that originally made this place stand out.“

“They serve breakfast all day and we went around 11am. We ordered the French toast. It is one slice only and is served in a pool of syrup. Delicious. We also had a side of the bacon. That also is one slice. It is served in a strip but it is a thick slice so they also cut the slice into smaller pieces. We also had the scrambled eggs and a side of the tallow taters. Do not miss out on those. The absolute best potatoes I have ever had. Served with a sauce that may be a base of roasted red pepper. I’m not sure, but it was outstanding. I also had a gables cafe crème but I asked for it hot. The place is extremely small and the service was not attentive but when I could get their attention they were knowledgeable and helpful. We sat “at the bar” which is really a window. It allowed us to sit right away but know that if you pick this spot there will people standing very close for comfort behind you waiting for a table. They may even have a restless toddler. All worth it, just saying pack some patience if that kind of thing bothers you. Cannot wait to go back and try the duck eggs!“

“The food was delicious and the customer service was spot on. As soon as we walked up the door was opened for us and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was very polite and friendly. The restaurant had a really nice vibe to it to. I highly recommend Untoasted. We went there for breakfast while visiting a friend in Florida and I would definitely go back again.“

“On My 15, 2024, my wife, daughter and I went out to brunch for my wife’s birthday. Afterwards, we decided to stop by the Cellar Club Bar at the Biltmore Hotel for a cocktail. We had one drink each and sat in the bar talking for a while, before heading home. While driving home, my wife noticed that a service charge was included on the bill that I had not noticed earlier. I tipped the bartender appropriately when I paid the bill. I had not thoroughly checked the bill for a service charge when I received it, because I’ve only seen service charges at touristy type locations. The last time I was at an establishment that included a service charge, the server was kind enough to mention it when he presented the bill. I never expected this at a nice place like the Biltmore Hotel. I totally understand that it was my fault for not checking the bill before presenting my credit card, but it still left a bad feeling in all of us about this experience at the Biltmore Hotel.“
