“We ordered 8 tacos. Ate them, and went back for more. So good. The chips and salsa were so good. The green sauce in the squeeze bottle is AMAZING! The super nice lady told us the sauce is made daily and the tortillas are made fresh. Hands down the best corn tortillas I've ever had.“

“Loved it here. Authentic, hand made tortillas, and natural drinks. Had four tacos, two tongue and two asada. Both very good, meat was nicely seasoned amd tender. Came with all the fixings on the side too. Also had the Menudo. Menudo was a bit thicker than my norm, but had good flavor and it came with plenty of handmade tortillas as well. I asked for a couple more things too add and they were kind enough to provide that for me. Had the Tamarindo drink, so good and refreshing.I loved it here. “One of the best Mexican food places I have been to and it's one of the best in the area if not the best Spanish food in central Florida. Service is real simple walk up to the counter order they give you a box of greatness enjoy. Now the location is the only draw back just get it to go park by a lake enjoy the beauty of Florida and the delicious food.“

“The food was good and the lady working was very nice. I would recommend this place if you are looking for some street tacos. It was my first time there so I haven't tried anything but the tacos and they were your standard fare which I do enjoy a great deal. The spicy hit sauce was good with a little bit to it. Great place to drop in for some food truck tacos.“

“Best Mexican food in Bartow, maybe even Polk County. The staff are super friendly and they never disappoint. The closest thing to the Mexican food I ate in Los Angeles. Very authentic, even the tortillas are hand made. I eat there usually like twice a week. It's so good!!!!“

“This was one of the best-tasting Mexican meals my wife and I have eaten, and we've eaten in quite a few of them. We highly recommend the Chilaquiles and desserts - although the other offerings are also outstanding. The service was friendly and the waitress took very good care of us.“

“I was hesitant as a lot of Mexican restaurants don't always have vegetarian options. Although they did not have veggie options on the menu they did accommodate and made cheese enchiladas that also came with rica and beans on the side. Very delicious, will definitely be back soon.“

“This spot is a local one. They've grown and grown through the years and we love them here. The food is mexican style. The tacos are 1$ still after at least 8 years. Easy ratings. It is a food truck that's permanently parked. They don't try to be anything other than that, and that's what makes them great. There's a wide range of food options. I think they have 15 options give or take. Tamales. Tacos. Nachos. Burritos. Normal fare. All hot and cooked right then. This is a Mexican food truck. If you're expecting more, don't. It is what you expect and I think we all love for that. You'll get some cooked onions, cilantro, and meet with your tacos. Corn tortillas. Verde (green chilies sauce) or rojo (red peppers). Both are spicy. A pepper cooked. A slice of cucumber. There's a few drink options like Arizona tea and mexican coke.Service is just what you'd expect. The people are nice. There is a small language translation. They can speak English well enough to take your order accurately. It is a bit loud outside of the truck between the people, music, and equipment. Then broken English and noise make the ordering exactly what you'd expect. Just deal with it and grab your tacos. If it is an issue for you, don't come to this spot. This is the taco truck. It is what it is and we like it for that. The atmosphere was also described above but to expand, this is just slightly above a parking lot. There are wooden benches to smash the tacos and move on. It can be breath takingly hot. Not in the stunning beautiful way. In the central florida hot way. They have some cover but this is asphalt and road. It'll be hot and have biting bugs at certain points of the day. There'll be road noise and you're in the parking lot of a pawn shop. Again, and for the last time I promise, this is a taco truck. Please don't confuse it for anything else. We enjoy having this spot and they deserve all the best. The tacos are hot, well cooked, and made to order. They're still a dollar after forever and they haven't changed.I love this taco truck and I hope they never change. If you want some street tacos, this is one of the best spots.Vegetarian options: It is mexican food out of a truck, almost everything will have touched a surface with meat. I'm sure you could order only veggies on your food but I wouldn't pick this place to try that out. Better to skip this one if you're very finicky about this.Parking: Plenty of parking. This is in the parking lot of a pawn shop. It kind of shares the space but it is definitely sharing the parking lot with the pawn shop. I am sure the taco truck does far more business than the pawn shop.Kid-friendliness: Depends on if you're sitting down to eat or not. I see people there with their kids all the time but make sure you read the review. It gets hot outside. It is loud. It is near a road and in the parking lot of a business. This is a spot where you eat and move on. You can sit and eat but that's your choice. Having kids there too may suck.Wheelchair accessibility: It would be hard for someone in a wheelchair to order. The window to order is pretty high. I'm assuming since I am not in one but I'm short (5'7") enough to still have to yell into the window myself. I don't know if it is an issue but just be prepared to possibly have to raise your voice significantly. The parking shouldn't be an issue. Or navigating at the table area.“

“I've been coming here for a few years and these are consistently the best tacos in the city. The light fry they do on the tortillas and the grilled onions really set these over the top in terms of flavor and texture. Very rich salsas with a moderate spice, which are so good I use them for other stuff too (like chicken wings or to add some spice to a soup) if I have extra. Sometimes they'll throw in a roasted pepper or two with the order (I believe they're serrano?) which is always a nice treat.Service is always very friendly and prompt. Great overall experience, I couldn't recommend this place enough.“

“We were in town for an event and Abuelo's was recommended. One of the best meals I have had and customer service was exceptional. The El Jefe margarita is top notch and our waitress, along with the bartender, did an amazing job with recommendations based on what we told them we preferred. Loved our dinner and would make a trip back!“

“This food truck has the best fruit cups and smoothies! They use fresh fruit and give you plenty for a great price. You can choose 2 fruits and customize it by adding spice or leaving it off. They have so many combinations of fruit to try. This is part of my Sunday routine.“

“The best thing about this restaurant is if you ask them to put a little burn on the corn tortillas, they do it very well. Of course you shouldn't have to ask. I had the Carne guisada which is nit a common thing to find so that was great but I would rate it as just okay. I would say that you would enjoy going to Dona Julia's but it isn't amazing.“

“Tapitios on Memorial Blvd in Lakeland is my go to Mexican restaurant. I bring all of my guests here when they visit, and they love it. I have seen other reviews of Mexican restaurants that people say are better. I beg to differ! Try Tapitios, you will not be sorry. Love the food , staff and atmosphere, even more the generous portions of food for the money.Wheelchair accessibility: Very spacious, plenty of room for wheel chairs.“

“These were some of the BEST tacos I’ve had in years. I’m a native Texan and have given up on finding good mexican food since living in the FL/GA area. I finally decided to give this place a try since we were in the area and omg best decision ever. I had the $5 taco special and it was so good. 4 delicious tacos plus rice and beans. What a steal! My husband had the enchiladas and he said they were incredible as well. I hope we can make it here again before we head back to GA!“

“Amazing burrito, but the menu made it difficult to decide! Loved the accessibility, appearance, atmosphere; everything smelled great from the time we walked in. I knew we had found the right place when there were multiple people standing to pick up orders, but we were seated immediately. I tried a couple of the tacos, they were light and delicious. I can't wait to go back and try their newest menu items: birria tacos and marinated chicken tacos! Recommendation: get the giant burrito if you're going to get one anyway. They have take out boxes you can use for half of it and you'll be glad you did when you can't stop thinking about it the next day!“

“My first time having authentic tacos! They did not disappoint. There's a great little outdoor area with shade for waiting and eating. ?Parking: It's in the lot right beside the taco stand.Kid-friendliness: There's room outside for them to just be kids. It's also fenced off from the main road making it safer for little ones. ❣️“

“My favorite authentic taco spot!!!I saw the top 3 picks for Winter Haven and honestly couldn't believe he wasn't listed. I enjoy their asada taco's regularly. The tacos are always seasoned to perfection. My kids snarl at most thing's green, request the cilantro and onion to their tacos when we go. The owner is always friendly. In my opinion, this is the #1 place to get the best tasting tacos.“

“Wow! This is such a treasure in downtown Bartow. We were downtown for SyFy festival and ate lunch here. One of the best, most authentic Mexican in the area. All of the food was superb and the service was fantastic. They were very busy but still super friendly. You could tell their employees were happy and glad to work there. I was concerned when the quesadilla came out as my daughter is picky but she loved it. Well worth a stop!“

Best I've had in a long time. The fresh guacamole was very good, although lacking a little salt and garlic.I need to go back to try more!!“

“I have seen this restaurant for years and never stopped in. Wow have I been missing out!. The chips and salsa were so delicious- just enough heat for me. They even bring out separate salsa bowls so everyone has their own. I ordered taquitos. The chicken was very flavorful and moist and the taquitos were fried perfectly. My friend ordered the chimichanga and said hers was also very good. I got my son a to go quesadilla and he said it was "fire". ? I tool no photos because I was busy eating! The service was fantastic.“

“Food was pretty good. The barbacoa was fatty but tasty. The ordering was a little awkward, no one was at the window and it appeared closed but when I rang the bell they finally came to the window and spoke through a tiny gap over the window. I paid and received the food this way “
