The female manager (sorry I don't know her name) at Flamingos is always up for a chat and nothing is ever too much trouble. The boys behind the bar are knowledgeable and fun. “Without a doubt, this is the dodgiest dive bar in all of Florida. It is a perfect disaster in the making. I'm fairly sure the only thing keeping the building from falling into the Anclote River is the habit of standing still for over a hundred years. I had the unique pleasure to sit and enjoy a few beers with the bartender, Cici, and a longtime local patron, Mike. Cici was a great host and shared stories about the old establishment, as did Mike. It is unfortunate that these places are getting mowed over in Florida all in the false claim of "progress". I'm thrilled to have found The Boat Club, and truly hope it survives for another 100 years.“

The meat was tender and seasoned just right, the bread toasted to perfection, the homemade potato salad was good but the RUEBEN SANDWICH was literally the BEST HE HAS EVER HAD and that's his favorite sandwich and has been let down so many times before at other restaurants. He is excited to make sure that we put this restaurant in our "going out" rotation. The bill was reasonable and the service was efficient and our waitress moved quick and took care of many tables and still was able to come to us quickly and efficiently. We will be there again!“

Being our first time, we asked her for some menu suggestions and she could not have given us better recommendations. He had the tropical fish flatbread and I had the island fire shrimp tacos. Both dishes had incredible flavor and the portions were HUGE. The prices were incredibly reasonable, as well.
