I think Bogarts like many restaurants have started to rely on their history. They were one of my go to restaurants for good American cooking. My last visit I was sadly disappointed. They failed on every level. The service was bad and the food was bad. Some of the waitresses have been there to long and are complacent with their jobs. They are not prepared at this point to handle high volumes of customers. I used to love this restaurant, but right now it’s not what it used to be. I hope that they make appropriate changes.

We are hooked on the omelets and other breakfast items for our weekly plant savers gathering. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I had the worst service experience today. Ordered a pickup order online. When I walked into the restaurant, I wasn’t greeted. I was told to sit. Once I told her I was there for a pickup order, she said “on the counter”. No manners, just rude.

I went to check my food because it felt very light for what I ordered. Sure enough, two bagels and their sides were missing (even though they were printed on two receipts stapled to the bags). After I told them I was missing food, Linda came up to me and responded to the situation as if it was my fault the food wasn’t in there. She never let me speak, interrupted me every chance she could, and walked back into the kitchen with an attitude. I was given two uncut bagels, cold not toasted, and the smallest side of cream cheese. Just unnecessarily rude and inconsiderate.

My family has been supporting this business for countless years, but in the week I’ve been in town and the two experiences I’ve had here in just one week (one in person the other today through an online order) I’ll be recommending them to go elsewhere. Do better. Be kinder. It’s that simple.

Best diner! Looked up breakfast near an appointment in the area and found Bogarts. You can seat yourself and you are greeted right away. All of the staff are very attentive from the moment you walk in. From the waitress Christine G and busser were amazing. The menu selections were great and the food was served quickly, hot and exactly as I requested it. I will definitely return and recommend it. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and grits with coffee. Delicious!

Waited two hours for food. No wait staff even came to our table to offer us a drink or refill while we were waiting. My husband got his food before me and I waited 20 minutes more to get mine and wasn't all that good.
