We had read about this restaurant, and decided to try it out. There were 3 tables occupied inside, with about 10 people total. I found the server, and she seated us as the only table outside, with an expression of dissatisfaction on her face. We found some tasty-sounding entries...and then waited. And waited. No return visit, no water, no drink, no nothing. Could she have forgotten about us in dealing with 3 tables? We'll never know; we gave up after about 20 min. No, I didn't go back into the restaurant after her.

When you walk into a French restaurant and all you hear are customers speaking in French at every table, you know you’re in for a genuine culinary experience. To say that this family owned and run restaurant is a Parisian gem, is to completely under sell them. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined to find such a uniquely authentic French restaurant in S. Florida of all places. Absolutely everything from the escargot that we had as an appetizer to the mussels and entrecôte that we had as our entrée to the crème brûlée for dessert were all homemade and exquisite. The bottle of wine we had was a French red and a great value at around $20. This truly authentic Parisian spot is on our top 5 favorite restaurants in South Florida. The young ladies that served us are sisters and their mother is the chef. We had some wonderful conversations with them and as it turns out they’re actually from Paris. If you’re looking for a delicious and homespun Parisian experience in the heart of South Florida, you can’t miss Le Comptoir.

The mussels and fries are really good. Portion is good. Free glass of wine. Service is good and in French! . Prices are very fair. I keep going back when I go down to Miami, and so do my friends They must be doing something right. .

I just love this establishment. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is intimate but not overly so at the same time. Last night I took a friend and his mother to dinner at Le Comptoir. He started with the Escargot, me with the Onion Soup. Both were amazing. The Onion Soup was filled with cheese and very tasty, although I must admit, I have had better here. But from an A to an A-, who's complaining? He scarfed up the Escargot. We all had the muscles. The Provencal is my favorite, but you make your own choice. I have ordered or tasted most of their offerings/broth. The bread was served HOT. Yum. Add the complementary glass of wine, and well, dinner was once again magical. If you are anywhere near Hollywood, and don't try Le Comptoir, your are not doing yourself any favors. Honestly, I try to get here 4x or more annually, and I have been coming here now for 10 years. I have never had anything but an excellent dining experience here. They are consistently excellent.

Stopped bye for a early midweek light dinner. The escargots were outstanding with that hot brioche and the mussels Provencal were superb. They offer a glass of house wine free with the huge portion of mussels so all said and done my "light early dinner" was $28!!!!!
