non-descript restuarant serving to locals as no exterior sign. long time visitor to Hollywood finally decided to try this restaurant due to good rating. Service and restaurant very good. food was disappointing. appetizer that arrived was not as described to us. pasta dish served very salty. menu has limited main course options this is mostly a pasta restaurant.

Beautiful atmosphere, great drinks, awesome service in a very quaint and cozy environment. This is the second time we go here but this time I was a bit disappointed at a few things; the menu is overly complicated, looks like it belongs in a much more upscale environment. The presentation leaves a lot to desire, very plain looking without any imagination. We ordered two appetizers calamari, which came with a rich Pomodoro sauce, and burrata with cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. Both were very delicious although on the small side. My ribeye steak was well cooked with a spicy rub, but for $70 i would like to see some type of side dish. Instead I was offered the garlic sauteed spinach for half price. The Shrimp scampi pasta was lacking sauce and the chicken parmesan was very basic on a small plate without any pasta to accompany. The eggplant Parmesan was very nice, again. Small for an entree looked more like an appetizer. Convenient self parking behind the restaurant for only $6. We did get a free dessert since it was a birthday celebration . Overall a good experience, but for the price and the presentation, there are many other options.

This place used to be a little gem. I’ve been there like about 30 times with spotless service and high quality food. The drinks used to be perfect and service at your own speed.
Now they have that weekend rules that you need to give your full order right away or we don’t serve you attitude making the dining experience unpleasant.
Everything is rushy, staff and manager push you to eat quickly.
It’s not an high end dining experience anymore and I won’t go back.

Enjoyed dinner solo at the bar while traveling. Fred the bartender was great. Atmosphere is very nice. The food was very good, but not outstanding. That said, I would definitely go back. I had the beet salad and the chicken parm.

Had dinner here solo at the bar. Nicely done restaurant and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I got the fennel salad and the tagliatelle pasta and added shrimp. The food was delicious and I was happy with my order until I got my bill. The shrimp was an extra $15 and I normally wouldn’t mind however I had three shrimps. I thought that was too much for three pieces of shrimp. It should be 5 pieces. Other than this, the food was good and the ambiance was nicely done. A great place to go solo or for something more intimate.

We celebrated our anniversary tonight at Carmela’s on Harrison Street, and it was absolutely perfect! From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious food, everything was spot on. The pasta was creamy and fresh, the dessert was heavenly, and the presentation was beautiful — even our anniversary plate was a sweet surprise.

A special shout-out to our amazing server Kaycee — she was friendly, professional, and made our evening unforgettable. Her warmth and attention to detail turned our dinner into a celebration we’ll never forget.

If you’re in Hollywood downtown and looking for the perfect place for a romantic dinner, date night, or special occasion, Carmela’s is definitely the best choice. We’ll be back soon! ❤️🍷✨

Cozy restaurant. Good food. Had the special fried lobster appetizer and the seafood pasta. The pasta really was big enough for two with plenty of seafood. Will definitely return.

I really thought the food would be on another level but it was really a disappointment, very bad food because I can't find another word to express myself, I thought it was just my dishes that I ordered but we were able to try everything, among them was chicken parmesan, liver crostini, meatball risotto, a pasta called mafalda and a few more dishes, all of which were very bad. What was saved was the tiramisu, which was well prepared and the flavors were very balanced, and the waitress was very attentive and patient with our group. Thank you for the moment, but I really wouldn't eat at that restaurant again.

Loved the food, service was a bit crazy due to multiple large parties I suppose, but overall good vibes!
Since it's a new-ish restaurant, I'm sure they're just still calibrating for super busy times. Hopefully, over time it'll only improve.

My boyfriend took me here for valentines and we both left extremely disappointed. Not only did we pay 100+ for our food but the food looked nothing like the pictures online or tasted good. I ordered the Tagliatelle and it was more linguine with pasta water. The plate supposedly had truffle butter and that was nowhere to be found. The plate also had no salt. My boyfriend ordered the papardelle and it looked absolutely nothing like the pictures online either. The pasta looked like it was pasta with ground turkey on it. Neither of us even finished our plates. The restaurant doesn’t have a sign outside so that should’ve been a red flag already. Don’t come here unless you want to spend $100+ on dinner and be left completely dissatisfied.

As a well versed Italian myself I've had many good Italian dishes however this place is way overpriced for way over spiced food....

It was pretty good but extremely spicy... Definitely too pricey..
