let me say the service here is amazing. i called up looking to get 8/16 oz of Alfredo sauce, if you know real Alfredo, you know it shouldnt be premade it's suppose to be light but cheesy. if you know you know. so with that rant it's kind of a hard request, i called a few places all which turned me down. so i called them up in hopes they would be my saving grace which in fact they were. i got a 16oz alfredo cream, only thing i needed was to add cheese. freaking amazing, it was simple but light and it was everything i was looking for. 10/10 on service, the guy that helped me was a freaking angel and the sauce was fantastic.

Great food presented by a long time Hollywood family with all their heart invested to give you the best dinning experience ever. You will not be disappointed.

Less than average food for above average prices. Their "special " Chicken Parmigiana Vodka sauce was rubbery, the steak at $46 went into the "doggy" bag for the dog, literally! We are definitely not returning !

Really cool place. Great staff. Great drinks food is excellent You can tell the family has been in the restaurant business for decades. A different type of restaurant experience for downtown Hollywood

Not big on leaving feedback, especially negative feedback.Took my daughter and my wife to this restaurant. There's nothing special about the restaurant atmosphere and we were seated at a table along the wall with couch like seating. I'm 5'8" and I felt like a small kid sitting at the kitchen table. My shoulders were almost Parallel with the height of the table. Very uncomfortable. My wife and daughter ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, very tasty but small portions at $20. a serving. I ordered Linguine w/white sauce, it was pretty good but I have had better, especially at the price I was asked to pay.I also ordered a Prosciutto Appetizer and I never seen Prosciutto so wet in my life, Prosciuttois is a very dry meat, salted and dried for 9 months or longer. It just didn't have that salty flavor and I thought it was substituted with a cheaper cut you would use to make ham and cheese sandwiches.Italian restaurant but, no bread or house salad was served with the dinner. Very disappointed for the amount of money they were charging.2 small bowls of Pasta and cheese $40. ?We had 2 cokes with the dinner and the bill was $95.00 plus the tip.I will not be visiting this establishment again.

It was 5 adults and my 8month old, I really enjoyed the Burrata as an appetizer, I got the Rigatoni and requested chicken in it the spice in it was perfect for me, the drink I got was a white sangria I believe it was delicious with fruit in it, and for dessert we got the tiramisu. They have high chairs available, all the staff were great since I walked in with my doona stroller they opened the door for me, helped me lift it one step since we sat in the back deck very attentive with everything. I couldn’t get any pictures of the food only of my drink.Kid-friendliness: High Chairs, My Doona fit perfectly.

My girlfriend and I had reservations for my birthday, was traveling from Massachusetts and I had high expectations from a friend that recommended me to stop by and check this place out.The atmosphere is very calm and exquisite. The waiter I had was great, really attentive and personable. Even offered to take our picture and it was a good, fun time. One of the chef's, Anthony, also came out to make sure everything was fine and the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs we ordered were made to perfection and we can not wait to return on our next trip!

Went for dinner w a friend otdered eggplant & my friend clams oreganato, it was very good but for main course we ordered sea bas, which was tateles & terribly expensive, & for dessert orange creme brulee, also terrible, plus 2 glasses of wine & some bread. So for the two of us between food tax & tip the bill was around 300.00.Will never come back or recommend.

If you’re into Sardelli’s upscale, delicious Italian on the beach, you’ve got to check out this sister restaurant in downtown Hollywood. Sardelli’s is the girl in the evening gown, Carmela’s is in fashion denim and an Hermes tee. We had the meatballs, chopped salad, caccio y pepe (a simple classic that’s a taste barometer) and chicken parm. Flavorful, well-prepared, casual warm service in an inviting space. A must try in Hollywood, worth a trip to this up-and-coming area.

I was excited to go. My wife and her friends have gone to Carmela's several times. We made reservations for Valentine's Day to celebrate a birthday. I understand the 2 hour limit on reserved tables due to sales. However, it took 15 minutes for the first drink order to be taken, then 17 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The waiter then fairly rudely informed us that the Chef will require the complete order including dessert to be given at one time. i u destined the need due to the kitchen needs, but the waiters approach for a supposed higher class restaurant was inappropriate. When the Risotto appetizer finally showed up, the center was still ice cold. it had to:be re made. by the time the main course showed up we had been in the restaurant for 1 hour and 40 minutes. At the 2 hour mark the manager came up and told us he had another reservation and we needed to leave. I would have told the customer that we would like to buy them a drink at the empty bar to get them to leave the table. instead he rudely told us we needed to leave. had he taken my approach we would have stayed and had several more drinks. instead we left and went next door and spent an additional few hundred. Over all the food quality was BELOW AVERAGE. It was edible, but not what you would expect from a great Restaurant. The overall experience was terrible. we will not return. When the manager asked about our experience, my guest who had owned as well as worked at several fine dining establishments gave him a polite opinion and the manager agreed and ended the conversation.

Great date night with my bride enjoyed with stunning cocktails and exquisite entrees. Compliments to Carmela's and their staff for perfect execution.

Second time here. I know it’s Valentine’s Day, but in my world it’s my husbands birthday. I set up this reservation 1 month In advance. Even stayed on reservation it was a birthday! Zero acknowledgment at all. I thought there would have been a desert or some acknowledgment - Drinks took 20 minutes to get. We had to send food back which we had to wait for. Ordered another round of drinks which we waited 20 more minutes to get. Then told we need to leave as we have been there for 2 hours - well if we didn’t have to wait a total of 40 minutes for drinks and send food back, we would have been gone by the time frame we were at the Max for. Just disappointed as I put effort into my husbands birthday and zero recognition!

I recently dined at Carmela's Italian Ristorante and overall, I had a pleasant experience. For starters, I opted for the grilled octopus, which was a delightful choice. The flavors were spot-on, and it set a high expectation for the rest of the meal. For my entree, I indulged in both the tagliatelle and a New York strip. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, with each bite more satisfying than the last. The service throughout the evening was commendable as well; attentive and efficient without being intrusive. However, there was one aspect of the dining experience that could be improved. The seating arrangement felt quite tight, making the space feel a bit cramped. A little more room could enhance the overall comfort of diners, making the experience even more enjoyable. In summary, Carmela's Italian Ristorante serves up delicious food with great service. If they could address the seating arrangement to offer a bit more space between tables, it would elevate the dining experience significantly. I look forward to returning and seeing how this wonderful establishment continues to evolve.

The service was very slow, there were not enough waiters. The chicken was just drowned in a greasy sauce and was too salty, garlic was also not spared, even my eyes were burning. The menu is quite poor, only pasta.
