Baleada is really good here. But the cena hondureña the steak was so dry it’ll dry the mouth, my wife didn’t even finish it. Supposedly “all their steaks are medium well”. I called about the issue and they had to “see it” I explained I was at work and couldn’t and they didn’t offer any further help.
I recommend the baleadas and I’ll only be coming here for the baleadas from here on out.

The mariscada soup was absolutely delicious rich, flavorful, and packed with fresh seafood. The broth was perfectly seasoned, and every bite was a delight. On top of that, the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Tucked inside a modest shopping space, Cuscatleco delivers a taste of El Salvador that punches far above its humble setting. The no-frills décor and walk-up counter might not scream destination dining, but one bite into their pupusas, and you’ll know you’ve found a hidden gem.
The pupusas—thick, hand-pressed corn discs stuffed with cheese, beans, pork (or all three)—are the undeniable stars. Griddled to a golden crisp on the outside and gooey inside, they’re served with traditional curtido (a tangy cabbage slaw) and salsa roja that perfectly balance richness with brightness.
Don’t miss the empanadas de plátano, either. These sweet plantain pastries, filled with creamy custard and lightly dusted with sugar, are like dessert and comfort food rolled into one warm, nostalgic bite.
Cuscatleco’s menu branches out with yuca frita, tamales, and hearty Salvadoran breakfasts, all prepared with a home-cooked authenticity that speaks of generational recipes. Service is warm, prices are budget-friendly, and the wait, while sometimes a bit long, is always worth it.
If you’re craving comfort food that feels like a warm hug from someone’s abuela, Cuscatleco delivers.
