They use precooked Frozen very small shrimp. They mix the sauce in with the shrimp right before serving it to you so it doesn't marinade. It's not real Ceviche because they use cooked frozen shrimp... it tastes like something out of a can, not genuine Ceviche at all!

My husband and I stopped by a bit earlier than their opening time. We saw Rodo thru the window and came out right away to invite us in. Chairs were not set up yet but he was very welcoming. It made us feel like family. We had the (about to be) special of the day (Cau-Cau), Ceviche Carretillero, parrilla for two and Passion fruit juice. The server then helped us with the order and we were eating in no time. Thank you for the great food and your hospitality! Everything was delicious!

Despite the many reviews we read, we were really disappointed with the service here ... it took an hour for us to get our food even though there were only two other tables that were seated before us. Once we got the food, it was not at all what we had anticipated after all the raving reviews. The papa a la huancaina was disappointing and so was the ceviche. I tasted pure lime and onion though the presentation looked decent, the lime flavor was overpowering. It would've been less expensive to just eat a lime and onions. The waitress kept bringing us chocla but even the appetizer took 50 minutes to come out. Due to the incredibly long wait we missed our next engagement. The owners had young children in the back of restaurant screaming and crying the entire time. They had music on really loud to try to cover the sounds of screaming crying children. Not a relaxing evening for anyone trying to enjoy a meal.
