The worst service ever. It was so slow and the wait staff kept screwing up. When we finally ended with coffee, we asked them for milk (shouldn’t that come automatically). 20 minutes later I had to go find a waiter who asked a waitress to get it. Another 15 minutes later it came. Also, nobody ever came to see if we needed anything else. We had a table of 10, most of us wanted another drink. Bad service costs restaurants a lot of money by not selling more alcohol. Good food, but I’ll never go back

We are staying in Fort Lauderdale for work. We have a child that is allergic to wheat and looked for somewhere he could eat. We found this restaurant had gluten free pasta and pizza and headed there around 45 minutes. It was definitely worth the drive! Most of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free. Including desserts. They also have a dedicated gluten free station for those of you who react to cross contamination. There were so many great things about this place! 1st , the staff. They treated us like celebrities. You can tell they love what they do. Our waiters were so friendly and paid attention to every single detail. We had one waiter but everyone was helping each other. We knew when we heard their Italian accents the food was going to be good. And it was! So yummy. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and experience. We will definitely be back.

I rarely write negative reviews as I am in the hospitality industry and prefer to resolve issues professionally and directly but since the management of this restaurant chose ignore my emails and calls, here goes.
We had a New Year’s Eve reservation for four guests at a fixed price of $115 per person, plus tax. Upon arrival, we were seated outdoors on a terrace along a busy boulevard on a chilly night. When we requested to be moved to a heated terrace or indoors, we were told there was no space. A fire pit was placed by our table; however, the smoke consistently blew directly toward us, making the situation extremely uncomfortable. Our clothing was so saturated with smoke that they had to be washed immediately upon returning home.
Service throughout the evening was extremely slow and unprofessional. In addition to the language barrier, as the waitstaff did not speak or understand English well, it was evident that they lacked basic service experience. Requests were missed, timing was poor, and overall service fell well below expectations for a premium, pre-set New Year’s Eve event. At one point, a teenager walked by and knocked over our white wine bottle that was sitting in its stand. When we informed the waiter, he laughed and did not offer any form of compensation, despite the fact that approximately one quarter of the bottle was spilled onto the floor.
Three of us ordered the filet mignon cooked medium; all three were served rare to the point of being inedible. Additionally, the restrooms were in very poor condition and unacceptably dirty for what should have been a high-standard dining experience.
Given the seating conditions, slow and inexperienced service, improperly prepared food, and overall lack of quality, the evening did not meet even basic expectations—let alone justify the cost of the meal or the mandatory 20% service charge, which came as a surprise.
I trusted that Restaurant Gioia Italy valued its reputation and guest satisfaction, and I hoped that management would reply to my calls and emails but unfortunately they did not. Will never return!!

This place is a gem! I love that they offer gluten free options and it tastes almost exactly as I remember pizza to taste like! For someone with celiac disease this is so special to me! The desserts are amazing too as the tiramisu is also gluten free and something I have not been able to eat in a long time. The texture is spot on! Lovely place for casual dinner or date night.

Giolia is the place to be if you want an authentic Italian experience. The food is incredible and their gluten free and allergy-friendly options are out of this world! The staff is attentive and fantastic. You have to try this place out. Both the regular food and the GF food is some of the best we have had. It tastes like it was made directly in Italy. It’s the closest we have had since traveling there.
