We have eaten here a few times and were very satisfied but this time we left VERY disappointed. We ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes (which is on the menu) and we were given shortribs with potato wedges. Also the shortest be 80% fat (inedible). We mentioned that we ordered mashed potatoes and the server said the menu is wrong, they actually don't have mash potatoes. They only offered a 50% discount on a meal that was inedible. Also, the pizza had so much sauce the toppings slide off.. And the chicken parmesan had so much cheese we had to scrap it off in order to eat it. Server was very nice and did a great job but a manager never ce out abs we were never asked how our meal was even though we left with most of our food on our plates. This place is not cheap, I would expect better food for what it costs. We will not be back and would not recommend.

Food is so fresh and delicious. Our sever Catalina made great appetizer and pizza recommendations, and you can tell she took pride in working at Gioia. The entire staff was so warm and welcoming, it really feels like a family atmosphere. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and truly very, very tasty!

My wife and I had dinner here, and it was fantastic. She has celiac disease, and they offered excellent gluten-free options. We sat at the barāthe pizza was outstanding, her meal was just as good, and the bartender was incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Well worth the visit.
I was there for dinner about rwo weeks ago, attracted by so many good reviews about the 'italian experience'... We ordered Spaghetti Carbonara, which was served with an undercooked pasta, not al dente as supposed, and a bland, liquid sauce, not silky and creamy as should be when done by true Italian cooks. Although simple in theory, this dish requires an exquisite balance in timings, amount of ingredients and right temperatures at specific moments, all of which were missing in this case. Our second dish, a Capresse Salad, was over elaborated, once again, missing the concept of simplicity in Italian cuisine. In summary, a deception and exactly the opposite of the 'Italian experience', which is: excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and bad service! Our waiter, Ivan, was the only good experience that night! In case any restaurant representative reads this review, please know that this note is intended as a constructive feedback. And I will not call or contact this place for any further matter. I was really disappointed.
