Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

Tried their spicy shrimp patty and could not finish it and tossed it out. I saw a commercial about the spicy shrimp patty and wanted to try it. We were close to the location and so we went and bought 3 of them. I think between the three patties we got 2 and half shrimp. Not joking. Dry tasteless crust and almost no shrimp. A good idea ruined by poor execution. And I am a big fan of golden krust beef patties. But not the new spicy shrimp!

I ordered large platter with curry chicken, rice & peas, plantain, mac n cheese, & a pepper shrimp patty with a Jamaican pineapple soda for $26 total. The curry chicken w/rice & peas saved this from being a 1 star review. Plantain dryyyy like it been sitting all day. Mac & cheese so bland, no flavor at all! Shrimp patty was ok, nice spice but not very shrimpy flavor. Service & store presentation fit the food quality, which was poor. Even though sometimes hole in the wall places have great food, this is not the case here. There was much to be improved.

I was not aware of this location so was pleasantly surprised when I found it while looking for lunch. It's located to the front of the mall on the eastern side of Target

The patties are delicious and crusty. They don't have tables so it's strictly take-out. I also had their bulla and it was gingery and not too sweet. The server was polite and friendly enough.

They also serve lunch and a special oxtail on Mondays to Wednesdays, but NO table service NO dining in.

I'll highly recommend checking them out

It's quite hot inside the store. I don't know how the employees do it, but $4 for one patty is ridiculous, especially in this economy. The spicy beef patty wasn't spicy it's like white people spicy not black people spicy. Anyways, it was my first experience at Golden Krust and I will be returning to try the oxtail and rice with peas.

There’s spicy shrimp that comes in the bag in the refrigerator by the drinks gave me ((food poison)) I’ve been throwing up having extreme diarrhea and extreme stomach cramps I haven’t been to work in a week because I’ve been sleeping Because of the pain do not recommend this place at all . Extremely sick from this places food

Golden Krust hits the spot when you're craving Jamaican food. The patties are always fresh and flaky, and the oxtail is tender with rich, savory flavor. The jerk chicken is another standout—perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The rice and peas are a great complement to their lunch specials. You can get a full, satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Be prepared for long lines, especially around lunchtime, but the staff works quickly and efficiently. Just a heads-up: there’s no seating inside, so it’s strictly a takeout spot.

Food was great. It tasted even better than it looks. However the service was pretty terrible. The menu screens were off and they didn't do a good job of explaining the menu. Also there was no where to sit so we had to eat the food at the Target in the plaza.

Always great service and food when I visit for lunch. Highly recommend if you want some real Island

Patties were Very good. Very Fresh. Very Hot.?So Hit they were almost burned. BUT they were hot & Fresh, nevertheless. The rest of the food was like that too!?? Maybe a few dishes, 1 or 2 could've been left out for too long, since morning, and no one bought it. To avoid cooking much food, (and wasting), Perhaps they could cook Certain dishes less, or make them Fresh (to order.) The mac n cheese was dried up. Left out too long. That's the only thing that I Really did not like. Other wise, the food was fresh. The young man at the desk was really Nice. And they offer a deal on a meal from Mon - Fri. ?!
Would come again.
