This is a neighborhood restaurant in a newish plaza. The corner restaurant has a side window exclusively for take out orders, which were plentiful while I dined inside. We were seated quickly on a Sunday evening, though the restaurant was pretty busy inside too. They have booths, tables, and a sushi bar. Our server was very nice, and once we looked over the pretty big menu, she used her tablet to enter our order in and then read it back to us. We had so many options for the 3 of us and still felt like we ordered half the menu because it all sounded so good.We started a large bowl of Spicy Seafood Soup, which our server brought us 3 smaller bowls to share. The soup spice came from crushed red pepper, and it was not very spicy. We then continued with a delicious selection of Dim Sum Shumai and Steamed Chicken Dumplings. While not sure if they were house made, they were freshly steamed. We then started with some cold selections of Poke nachos with 4 in the stack and a Kani Salad that might have been one of our favorites, which was also large enough for a dinner portion. The vinegar dressing was great.Moving onto my absolute favorite was the French Kiss oyster shooter with Uni and Ikura. Delicate and a great mix of flavors. I only wish they were not $10 per oyster, or I could have eaten a dozen. For the sushi rolls, we ordered a rainbow roll, and all the fish on top were decent sized slices and fresh, though nothing really special about that roll. The Pacific Roll was very good, and the cilantro was more of a whipped topping.Since I love spicy tuna, we added one of those rolls, too, and it was perfect. The final hoorah was our order of the 12 pieces of sushi Omakase. Being well experienced in Omakase, this was a great deal for 2 people to share because the prices were repeated on the tray, but they were all awesome in display and taste. We also added 2 pieces of Ikura to top things off. We struggled to finish everything and considered bringing a piece or two home. For our immense amount of food without any alcohol was just about $150 total for a great quality meal that I would definitely come back for again.

Maybe Miami isn't known for the sushi. but lots of places in the Northeast part of America blows the sushi out of water. Some of the fish was not high quality at all. Maybe I had an off experience because I got Uber eats, but all the fish seemed mediocre at best. The imperial roll did not even taste like real lobster meat.

This place is insanely good! That's it.... That's the review stop what you are doing and go check it out immediately!Kidding ,but seriously this place exceeded expectations in every way. The hamachi jalapeño was plentiful and full of flavor. Trying the scallop carpaccio first time was great, opened my eyes to new way to eat scallops. Going with the 8 piece nigiri sushi, you really get taste and see the quality of the fish used. The flavors that you get are unique and fresh with every bite. The toro is ridiculous here too, again great quality. The service was great and the restaurant gave off a family friendly vibe. I will be back!

I've been going to this place for two years and am always so satisfied after my meal! Yesterday was the first time I ever ate inside and I must say, they did not disappoint!!!! The Asian Spare Ribs are fall off the bone IMMACULATE! I don't ever order here without ordering them! I decided on a JB roll, shrimp tempura and a delicious sexy roll! 10/10

I enjoyed an excellent lunch here today. The location was easy to find as it's on the SE corner of Stirling and Pine Island in the Walmart plaza. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, and I always try to support local businesses. The server was very attentive without being smothering. Our waiter knew the menu and he was great at explaining a few items to us, which we greatly appreciated. We started with the Kani Salad, Bok Choy in a light garlic sauce, a Crispy Rice Roll, along with a large bowl of wonton soup for my mother. The spicy tuna in the Crispy Rice was delish. The Bok Choy was prepared in a light garlic sauce and cooked perfectly. It could have used a bit more garlic, but regardless, I loved this dish. The Kani Salad was loaded with shredded Krab sticks and finely diced avocado, all tossed in a light vinegar based dressing with a small amount of mayo. I never had this salad before, but I really enjoyed it. We shared a few rolls that were all delicious. I can't recall the names, but they were all very, very good. All ingredients were fresh. I didn't taste anything I didn't like. Delicious sushi!I definitely will be back as I love sushi. Thank you to Sue C and Joan L for the recommendation!

Walk in and go to the sushi bar - see the variety of fresh fish. Look around at what people are eating - it is likely authentic Japanese food. Recently, I was in another Japanese style restaurant and the server had no idea what tomago or hamachi kama was. He was familiar with every tempura/cream cheese/mayo-heavy roll they made, however. Imasa's menu offers both - tempura/cream cheese/mayo and more authentic dishes too. They also offer some Chinese style dishes - like sesame balls or dumplings. Their udon noodles with African lobster tail that tastes like the Chinese food of my childhood. We're hooked on that dish. You can make up your own dish and they'll gladly oblige. We took the house roll and replaced some of the ingredients. They did such a great job that when we go - more often than we expected - we order a couple of them, along with the other dishes. We have leftovers, but this is our typical delicious meal:Veggie rollsCooked salmon inside and outside a roll filled with avocado, asparagus, etc.Udon noodles with lobster tail2 pieces of nigiri - we mix it up4 pieces of tomago(an order of sesame balls and more tomago to go!)We use the leftovers for the next meal and are happy to eat it! The service is spot on and you don't have to flag down a server. I love their willingness to accommodate us and their execution of flavorful dishes. Yes, we're planning on returning this weekend. When we were last there, they were preparing 2 huge boats of sushi and 6 smaller boats of sushi to deliver to a party. So I think the word is out - their food is fresh and tasty!

Amazinggggg sushi!!! The fish was so fresh!! I haven't stopped thinking about this place since we went! We got the Miami Heat Roll, Imperial Roll, and Orange Dragon Roll. The sushi was a 10/10. All of the rolls were mind blowing. We also got miso soup, wine, tea and bottled water. The total for the bill, including the tip was $100. (Pretty cheap sushi for 3 people!!!) The restaurant is dimly lit with big booth seating and table seating. Our server took great care of us and everything came out very fast. I cannot wait to go back!!!! Seriously, it was AMAZING!!

This is my go to Sushi place. The food is always fresh and the service is great. They are always very welcoming and attentive. I came here for a girls lunch and it was all yummy! It's a real nice place for date night or in a group. We had apps (pictured) and we also shared various rolls such as Fire and Ice Roll, Surf and Turf Roll and The Miami Heat Roll. We even shared Thai Donuts with Ice Cream. Yum! If ever you're in the area and are looking for a great sushi place...this is the place! Enjoy!

Best sushi in Pines/Hollywood area. I always order to go and they're great, fast service. Delicious Dragon rolls, JB rolls. Best sushi in Miami hands down is Shima Japanese in Hialeah.

Came on a Sunday night and order to do. The food was prepared fairly quick, waited about 2-25 min for it. We ordered shrimp shumai, fried shrimp balls , California roll and a lobster sushi roll. Everything was delicious, we really enjoyed the lobster sushi. I would love to come inside next time and dine in. I would recommend to try.

This place hands down has my heart. My boyfriend and I come almost every week and we sit on the bar top where we are able to see the sushi chefs make every meal. First of all, they are #1 on UberEats for sushi which is how I heard of them. When we finally decided to go in, we made it our spot. The food and service has never disappointed us. They have so much vegetarian options, such as edamame, pineapple tofu, shishito peppers, avocado and vegetable rolls, vegetable dumplings and fried veggie rolls. Needless to say I've tried every vegetarian option on the menu. My bf loves the Fire and Ice Roll and always gets his hands on the oysters if they have. The chefs are always so kind and the environment is very welcoming and clean. 10/10 for me.

I'm a big fan of Sushi and when I read the reviews about Imasa Sushi, located at 8570 Stirling Road in the heart of Davie, I knew I had to check it out.To me, food should be aesthetically pleasing, and at the same time it should be pleasing to the palate. When you find that, oftentimes elusive combination, you know that you have found a special place. Imasa Sushi is such a place, let's get into it...It was busy tonight and I didn't have a reservation but fortunately I was able to get a table. I usually prefer to sit at the sushi bar, to watch the master's ply their trade, but there was no seating available tonight.I started out with edamame. It was good but it could have used a touch more salt. I enjoyed it nonetheless.I also had the Miso Soup, and if you like it, this is some of the best I've ever had, as it was filled in seaweed and tofu, in other words, it was hearty and delicious.I also had the Seaweed Salad. This was interesting because it was served over a bed of shredded carrot and daikon. I enjoyed it very much.I usually order a spicy tuna roll and tonight was no exception. This roll was presented well and it was delicious. It had cucumber inside that provided an interesting crunchy mouthfeel. The Star Dish of the evening was the 9 piece Sashimi, consisting of 3 Tuna, Salmon and Yellowtail. They are not the usual skimpy pieces that most places serve, they were fresh, thick and delicious. If there one thing to be critical of it would be the plate that has a place in the corner for wasabi and soy mixture. It's too small for my tastes but it's such a minor thing, I'm almost embarrassed to mention it.If you are looking for a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal, check out Imasa Sushi. You will be happy that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local businesses.
