Found this place today. A great little spot on young circle and walking from downtown Hollywood. They specialize in Peruvian Sandwiches but have so much more. Bread is baked fresh on premises! After sitting down to eat, we saw that Guy Fieri also reviewed this place and recognized how great it is. We met the owner Marco who was super friendly and owns it with his brother. Great to support local family owned places. A really fantastic spot. Don’t miss out. Plenty of parking as well!

The name undersells this place. It’s also in a nondescript location. You could easily walk by and miss it, or think that it was a local Subway. And you’d totally miss out.
Tucked into this small, clean space is a wonder of empanada excellence. I had both the carne and pollo. The names evoke the familiar but the tastes transcend them. The fillings are the stars and they are scrumptious. Binge-worthy. I’ve always preferred croquetas and these empanadas change my calculus entirely. I’ve never had anything like them.
And then there is the chicharron sandwich. First, they bake their own bread. And it’s outstanding. At first I thought it was too much bread. But it’s so light and airy with such a satisfying external crunch it’s as if it’s not there, allowing the ingredients to shine through. The pork was delicioso and the vegetables and citrus marinade were amazing. If you’ve had a great banh me sandwich you’re in the ballpark of textures and flavors, but this creation blows the best of those away.
Everything here is homemade from what are clearly the best ingredients. And the owner and his brother are passionate about making great food.
This place absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife and I decided to visit after watching the Triple D episode, and it exceeded our expectations. The owners are incredibly welcoming, happy to explain the menu and make adjustments to your order. The freshly baked bread was out of this world, and the chicharrones were juicy and packed with flavor. I even gave the Chicha, a purple corn drink, a try and was pleasantly surprised. I can see myself coming back here often.

I always feel so catered to when I come to this restaurant. The staff is so attentive, and the quality of the food is top tier. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but it's not without reason—the quality of the food truly matches the price, in my opinion. The portion sizes are perfect unless you have a large appetite, which is understandable because when the food is this good, you're never going to feel like you've had enough!
I live in Tampa now, but every time I'm in town, I make sure to stop by. It's the least I can do for myself. They’ve set a really high standard for Peruvian cuisine, and every time I go to a different Peruvian restaurant, I’m often disappointed because it’s never as good as J28. Also, I love supporting a family-owned business that upholds authenticity and great customer service, which seem to be increasingly rare these days. I hope to see this restaurant's continued success for many years to come.

I ordered a sausage for my wife, I asked them not to put too much onion and they gave me pure bread with a small piece of meat! ???️ if they charge such an expensive minimum they should give a good service! This place used to be good, and I see several people who are complaining! I hope they change for the better! ?️
