The food was absolutely delicious! It was flavorful and everything felt balanced. Would 100% recommend this place anyone interested in trying Indonesian food. The chef also came out to ask us about our experience and was very kind. 10/10 :)

We had a wonderful experience at Krakatoa Indonesian Cuisine. We were a party of 15 celebrating Mother’s Day and a birthday, and the entire staff handled our large group with great attention and care. The food was delicious, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and the service was excellent from start to finish.
They were very welcoming and patient in helping explain some of the dishes, which made the experience even better for our family. As a very thoughtful gesture, they also surprised the birthday boy with a complimentary dessert, which made the celebration feel extra special. Overall, it was a warm, enjoyable experience, and we will definitely be back again.

The reviews here are way overblown. The food was inadequate and mediocre on every level. Three of us ordered a holiday meal to be delivered to my house, commemorating my recent visit to Bali. I spent a lot of time talking with the owner ahead of time to make sure our dietary needs would be met. Then I placed our orders at the time he gave us. When our meals were delivered we were shocked and disappointed. We were charged a $28 delivery fee, on top of an $18 tip. We were supposed to get free delivery as our order was over $100 (about $118). It turns out he forgot the Corn Fritters, which I had discussed at length with him to make sure there were enough for all of us. That mistake brought our order to below the $100. When I called and spoke to him, he made excuses, but said he would make good on his mistake, which he never did. Several months have gone by. I don't recommend the food (small portions and lackluster flavors) and wouldn't go there in person at this point. The owner should have automatically refunded some of our money (at least the delivery charge) or delivered the fritters later to make good on our order. Dismal experience.

Fabulous Indonesian food. Having travelled to Bali many times I can attest to the food being authentic.

The place has a nice upscale atmosphere with warm lighting and a clean, stylish setup.
The food is very flavorful and you can really taste the spices in every dish.
Each plate comes with multiple sides, so it feels like a full meal, and the portions are actually big and filling.
Presentation is great and everything looks well put together.
Service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive.
However, it didn’t feel like authentic Indonesian food, it leans more towards a fusion style.
Prices are on the higher side but fair considering the portion sizes.
I ordered Rendang sapi and Sate Ayam!

Food is good. I got to try some new dishes I've never tried before. I tried the Balado which was supposed to be bone in Chicken but turned out to be chicken wings only.

Restaurantji Recommends
I’ve been wanting to go here for a long time and finally a bunch of us went and glad we did. The food was interesting and flavorful. We were told that the entrées were enough for one person, but in fact, they’re big and really meant to be shared! I wish they were transparent with us because each of us took half our meals to go. So I recommend that you order one entrée and one appetizer for two people and if you’re a group I would do the sharing thing to experience all the dishes.

4 of us came, we ate and we loved it!
The restaurant is long and not very wide with a vibrant vibe. As we walked deeper in I was surprised at how far back it went. There is one walkway that goes down the middle of the restaurant. That walk way is shared with customers and staff. The staff works incredibly well together within this layout. Our waiter was great. He knew the menu and was able to offer suggestions. Because of the layout there was always wait staff/bus staff close by and stopping by to make sure we were good. One of the owners of the restaurant works the front of the house and does it very well. He stopped by to chat and helped his employees. As we talked he would pick up a plate if we were done with it, he saw we were out of wine and offered more.
THE FOOD! This food does not come frozen from a restaurant food delivery service. It is made from fresh ingredients that are crafted into amazing dishes. Each dish we ordered had its own uniquely delicious spice profile that insures none of the dishes taste like another. This includes their amazing Appetizers.
When we ordered we did not have to ask the Waiter any questions even though we had never ordered Indonesian food before. the Menu is laid out perfectly. It holds all the info you need for every dish. All the ingredients, the cooking style and a picture. You will be asked if you like mild, medium or hot.
We all shared a Lamb dish, a Beef dish, a Shrimp/Noodle dish and a Chicken dish. Each dish was unique, well seasoned and VERY savory. The chili sauce and the sweet soy sauce that are on the table are both delicious. Even the Rice that came with some of these dishes stood out>
We will be back with friends and family!

We’re a group of college friends who love to travel/ are foodies. Couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate the engagement of one of our friends. Service was great, food was phenomenal as always, memories are priceless. We wanted to bring special dessert and champagne for the bride to be and they were very accommodating with just a $20 cork fee. Planing to come back for my birthday
