My boyfriend and I were in town for our anniversary and I was showing him downtown Hollywood (I grew up in town). This place is newer, and as much as I am uncomfortable with some of the changes to the area, La Vendetta is a welcome addition. The staff were courteous and attentive, and everything we tasted was out of this world. The environment speaks for itself, a great backdrop for photographs. One of the best "romantic" restaurants I've been to. I had the Malbec, the truffle pasta, and the burrata. Chefs kiss, all the way around.

Great spot in Hollywood. I stopped in on 8/17 and was very pleased I stumbled across this establishment. I started with the cabbage salad, which was very fresh and the taste profile I’d sauerkraut. Then the metitei which was well seasoned and paired well with the salad. Finally, I had the papadelle with truffle oil. Pasta was house made and well prepared. I did not have wine but noticed a nice wine menu and was too full for dessert. My server Javier, was knowledgeable, professional and attentive. I will definitely visit again when I pass through again.

Not sure why the reviews hate so much. My fiance and I went for dinner and had an excellent experience! The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and the restaurant was designed beautifuly with a live singer singing old and new romantic songs on the stage. Highly recommend.

Tried ripping off my wife when I went to the toilet with champagne she can’t drink and forced her to take when she doesn’t drink - and threatened us “We would be dealt with” if we didn’t pay - I paid up just to get out of there - contacted my credit card company and police when I got to the hotel locally - got the money back and they got a police visit - I also attended just to make sure I pointed out the greasy culprit - and it turns out he is the owner!!!

Soooo disappointing! Called for 2 lasagna meals to be done at 4:30. Meager portions, not hot, and it was just ok! Not worth the $55 I left??♀️

My wife & I was walking downtown Hollywood Florida came across this restaurant. Looked interesting so we ate outside I had this delicious chicken parmigiana so big wife & I could of shared she had pasta overall I recommend a stop by here for a bite

The hubby & I have never been here b4. We walk in after lucking out w/1 of the two handicapped parking spots. Yayyy. Parking is limited & we saw an officer giving a ticket when we were leaving for not paying @ the meter. We left @ the right time, cuz we did not know we had 2pay. Oops. I'm glad we didn't have drinks or dessert. We may have been inside too long & got a ticket. The place was very dimly lit. Dare I say, dark. I had 2use my phone light 2c the menu. I hate that. There was a light on the table but, very dim. We ordered mussels for an appetizer, veal marsala w/truffle fries & broccoli (4me), & seafood linguine for him. A basket of warm bread & room temperature butter came 2the table 1st. Yum. I hate it when butter is refrigerator cold & arrives w/warm bread. That's just not right. The mussels were yummy. The veal was scrumptious. The fries were hot (yayy) & tasty but got cold quickly. Mayb I didn't eat them fast enuf. The broccoli was cooked well enough, but the stems were too hard 2eat. The hubby & I cut them off. The hubby enjoyed his food; however, I had comments. Hubby had 2add salt & pepper 2his food. Ugh. That shouldn't happen. The sauce was bland (Hmm. That mayb why he added s & p). After he mixed it well, the dish was tasty enuf. He also had 6 clams that did not open. Those should NEVER have made it to his plate. Did the chef not see 6 dead unopened clams? We sent them back and, fyi, only 5 new opened clams came back. Oh well. Finally, the bathroom. It was only fairly clean. The toilet needed attention though, both inside & out. Yuck.

We go to this place every time we're in Miami, but this will be our last. The mititei were below average, pickles were way too salty, they were out of tripe, Romanian beer and Romanian sparkling water (defeats the name of the restaurant, right?!). Minimal Romanian menu, so we're done with this place.
We were at this place with our friends for dinner. We are originally from Ukraine. Many years ago we came to US from the place in Ukraine which is very close to Romania, and we are familiar with Romanian food. Will strongly recommend to visit this place and to try. It is delicious! Nice surprise at the end of the evening was to hear Pah’s singing. She has a great voice, choice of tunes and songs is great. We were here on 11/24/22. Right after Thanksgiving, place however was busy.

DONT GO HERE IF YOU AREN'T ROMANIAN Friday was my birthday. I was visiting this area with friends and booked this restaurant for dinner because of the positive reviews and the food looked delicious in photos. It seems like a very fun area as well, with lots of diversity. The day of the reservation (which I booked a week in advance and received confirmation email on 11/4) I got a voicemail about them having an issue with seeing the reservation on Open Table, so they could only seat us outside. Being that they were calling me 5 hours before our reservation, I told them it was okay to sit outside. When we got there, we did not see anyone outside seating people. So like any restaurant I’ve ever been to — I went inside to tell them we were there. There was a huge man inside and he got in my face and asked “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHERE ARE YOU GOING? THIS IS A ROMANIAN ONLY PARTY, A ROMANIAN ONLY EVENT, GO OUTSIDE” I tried to tell him we weren’t trying to sit inside, but that I was trying to find a host/hostess because we have a reservation. He said “A RESERVATION? HERE? INSIDE? NO NO GET OUT” And I’m like “no, they reserved the table outside. I am just trying to tell someone we are here.” He kept shouting at me to get out and was getting closer and closer to me (I’m 5’2” btw) and another man also joined in shouting get out and getting closer to me, so we went outside. There was no need to be aggressive like this. After not knowing what to do a waitress came out and seated us. I asked her how we are supposed to tell them we are here for a reservation and explained what had happened. She got the manager. The manager made it worse. This woman basically kept repeating that they were having a show inside which is why we were outside. She said she had called me about it? She also said that the man who basically pushed me out the door doesn’t work for her, he works for the person performing and is collecting a $75 cover fee and because I “don’t look Romanian” obviously I “wouldn’t want to hear the music” and that justified him shouting in my face and not letting us talk to someone who works there. I told her she should have told me about the show in the voicemail she left (I still have it saved). She proceeded to argue with me. She didn’t care about how aggressive he was, she didn’t take any accountability for her bad communication, she kept repeating $75 charge even though I made it clear we DID NOT WANT TO BE INSIDE, she kept saying “you don’t LoOk Romanian” (I know I’m black thank you — was that the real issue?) and literally said “well what can I do? He’s not my employee. He does this sometimes but he’s not my employee.” Then another person came and she said she had to go address another issue. It doesn’t matter if he’s not your employee — If he treats your customers/potential customers like this, that reflects on the way YOU run your business. If you don’t want open table reservations or don’t know how to use OpenTable/it’s a Romanian only establishment/if you push people out the door who don’t “look” Romanian, then don’t use Open Table and tourists will hopefully stay away. The waitress brought me tissues, tried to apologize for our terrible experience, said we shouldn’t have been treated that way and would understand if we call it quits. She was the only person who cared that it was my birthday/cared at all about the customer experience in general. We left and went to a really good Jamaican place across the street (free to get in and a band was playin) and my birthday wasn’t completely ruined.

The food is good BUT they do 3 things to customers that is really BAD: 1. They have the nerve to charge for bread-$4.00 and the bread is very plain; 2. A regular cup of coffee is $4-that's a bit much!; 3. Even if there are only two in your party, they automatically add the tip! And the waitress was absent most of the time. With so many really good Italian restaurants, we WILL NOT RETURN to this restaurant!

Me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant last night and fell in love with it! Our server Michael was beyond amazing and treated us with care, he even showed me a new word in Romanian “noroc” . The food was divine and fresh and loved how it didnt take forever to make. I ordered the fettuccine pesto pasta with shrimp and my boyfriend had the marsala chicken with a side of pasta and it was amazing! The atmosphere is really like if you were in Italy and it blew us away. Id recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Italian food and a great place to hangout and have drinks. Thank you guys we will be back!

Overall was disappointing. Service wasn't great and food was bland and not authentic in the least. All of the aspects I know and love were missing. When we asked for mustard we were given French's yellow bottled mustard! It wasn't awful food, but it wasn't good. Anyone familiar with romanian cuisine would be VERY disappointed. Anyone looking to try romanian cuisine for the first time..this isn't it!
