The moment the cashier realized I am not buying their $4 water bottle he became rude and told me not to take too many napkins.
That was so hilarious

Pizza was thin, crispy, and delicious. Paid about 15$ for 2 slices of pepperoni, it was well worth it because the slices are huge. Me and hubby enjoyed our slices. I didn't get a chance to take pictures because we were hungry.

Love having an authentic New York City style pizzeria that reminds me of my family homeland in the neighborhood. A bit more expensive than what you'd get in NYC, but the trade-off is that they're YUUUGE! And delicioso! Plus, it's a quick in-n-out spot with friendly, attentive staff that definitely deserve a raise. Plus, it's in a walkable, easily accessible, multi-modal neighborhood that double down on the reminiscent nature of the great City of New York.
P.S. I personally didn't like the ham on Hawaiian pizza, but everything else makes up for it.

Mid pizza, but amazing portions no where near Anthony's or Peppis

Good pizza, no seating and somewhat pricey... $4 for a 16oz bottle of soda over $30 for a pie with no toppings...

If you find yourself on Hollywood Beach late at night, Mauro’s Pizza is almost impossible to miss. Even at hours when most places have long since closed, the line outside Mauro’s tells you everything you need to know—it’s a local institution. The energy is lively and the crowd is always buzzing, which adds to the beachside charm.
The slices here are massive—one is often more than enough, though most people can’t resist grabbing two just because they look so good. The crust has that perfect balance of crispy yet foldable, and the sauce has great flavor without being overpowering. Personally, I wish they were a little heavier on the cheese, but that’s just a preference; a quick ask at the counter and they’ll often customize for you.
Between the unbeatable location, the sheer size of the slices, and the fact that it hits the spot way past midnight, Mauro’s earns its reputation. Whether you’re a local winding down after a night out or a visitor strolling the boardwalk, this is the pizza stop in Hollywood worth waiting in line for.

The prices went up, and the quality and service went down. I always get a slice of pizza from Mauros. Lately, I have been getting really old pizza served to me, and it is obvious that the pizza has been sitting around for a while. I hope that they stop doing that so I don't have to stop buying slices.

If you want a BIG pie, this is the place. It’s a decent pie too, I’m not saying the best in the area, but it will feed a family and no one would complain. I’ve only ordered fresh pies.
