I come here for the ocean view, it’s fantastic. The breeze is fantastic. I had 2 corona’a feeling good.
Just don't do it
Terrible mojitos! Bathroom is super anti sanitary. Don’t go there.

McGowan’s Oceanfront Tiki Bar in Hollywood isn’t just a bar—it’s a whole vibe. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a hidden world, where every item seems to carry its own story and memory. This place isn’t about fancy food or trendy cocktails—it’s about atmosphere, character, and the kind of laid-back outdoor escape that’s perfect on a blazing Florida day. Led by the owner himself, who welcomes you with his own unique style, it feels more like being invited into someone’s wild and wonderful backyard. And fair warning: the drinks are strong—don’t be shy to ask for a sweeter mix! It’s quirky, authentic, and one of the chillest spots you’ll find on the beach.

I would give zero stars if I could. Bartender who is possibly an owner was rude and obnoxious. When you are in the hospitality business you need to show some hospitality. Easy to see why the place is rated so low.

Loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere here. I never do reviews but this place was so good. I had to say something. Amazing red snapper! Don't let the negative reviews scare you away, it is worth checking out.

My first ever review because this place was so bad. $70 tab for two sandwiches, a pop and a cocktail. The food was edible, but I think I’d rather eat from my high school cafeteria. Oh and I think the bill was $70 because the worker left himself a tip.

Avoid this place at all costs. I was just walking by this morning with my husband and 2 small babies. I asked to use the washroom after he (Jordan) was signalling us to come inside multiple times, he said no and told me “to go away” I asked him why he is talking to me like this. He then called me racial slurs, about my religion, and went completely mad insulting me as a mom, a woman and even made comments about my husband and kids. I was literally in shock. I was walking away but he just kept hurling insults at me. Literally insane. So maddening to have these type of experiences in such a beautiful and peaceful place. Learn to treat others with kindness, Jordan.
**After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not the only one completely disrespected and treated so bad.

Don't waste your money!! We should have known after we received the watered down, pitiful version of a what was supposed to be a Miami Vice drink, NOT to order any food..but we did anyway. Ordered ceviche, which was nothing but a few pieces of tough fish with zero flavor on a lettuce leaf, and a BLT that was made with pre-cooked bacon. Absolutely terrible.. but the kicker?? The bill was $67!!! Apparently he added his own 18 percent tip on top of the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant!
